Could of sworn my blood test was tomorrow, just looked at our calander and it was today so I bloody missed it!!!!

I'm so angry with myself, you always see in docs surgeries etc. about people not turning up for appointments and they could be given to other people who need it, and I'm one of them!!!! I can't believe it, I've NEVER done that before.

I'm going to have to ring them first thing and hope they can get me in soon and apologise profusely for missing it - I'm so embarrassed xx

Well I rang them first thing and apologised to the receptionist - got another appointment for tomorrow, thankfully.

The receptionist said make sure I apologise to the nurses and then I wont have the 'just didn't turn up for the appointment' mark against my name I'm really scared now!!! xx

OMG....it's like having a black mark against your name....I would be scared too hun xx

But really just say you are ever so sorry and blame the baby brain and they wont mind, ive done it too before i i should definately know better

OK so drove to the hospital for my appointment (it's about 8 miles away), got there and the nurse says 'have you got your blood form?', I haven't seen my midwife since my booking in appointment and they didn't give me one when I went for my scan so I didn't have a frigging blood form so they couldn't take my bloods!!!!

I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow so will ask her to do one for me, then I'll have to make ANOTHER appointment for next week. Grrrr why can't things be simple!!!!

Oh but I did apologise for not turning up on Tuesday and they didn't mind xx

Ahh hun.... why does that make you a numpty, it's not your fault you were not given the blood form .

At least the nurse didn't come at you with a needle for missing your appointment....you got out unharmed..this week...lol

No Laura, our midwives are a bit useless - all they do is fill the blood form out for you then expect you to make the appointment etc. I wish they would though - it would make life a lot easier (well for me anyway ) xx

Oh ffs hon. wish you lived nearer id do it for you in about a minute. I never go to the clinics just pop into work and a mate does it its daft the mw's not being able to do it really

Oh Mario you lucky thing!!!! Our services are really very poor around here, like I said I have to go 8 miles to have bloods taken and the nearest hospital is 20 miles away (where I had Libby and will have this one), we don't have a local midwife drop in clinic and the community midwives only go to my local doctors surgery on a friday

I wished I lived nearer to you too, and not just so you can take my blood

Yeah that would be great, it's difficult during the week as we both work but weekends (probs Sundays) would be better until I'm on Mat leave. x

sundays are doable for me if im off and neils off racing i guess just play it by ear week to week til we are both off then we can be ladies wot lunch freely lol
