| Im thinking of this too. Im due to go back 10th Jan after 9 months off but were struggling for money so i was thinking of getting a p/t job for over christmas where i cud maybe work from home or at least work some hours around alfie. i think that the maternity pay would stop tho - unless i can find summat cash in hand.
tbh i really dont wanna go back to work. id rather leave and rubbishy job in a shop or summat. i cant be bothered to deal with the stress of my old job - i just want to go to work do my job and come home. x |

| i checked my maternity policy, if i dont go back i'm going to have to pay back the full pay i will have for the frist 6 weeks, thats if i dont go back for 3 months after.
so you both best checking, can understand why you want to go back maternity pay is chronic |

| check how long you have to go back for - it's usually 13 weeks but mine was 10 (found out after ) As and when you return and then hand your notice in, can you not take your hols as part of your notice period? I.E. if you have to give 4wks notice, only have to work two of them as two will be hols? Check and double check - and get in writing - everything you can before going back xx |

| Oh yeah, should add, that 'have to go back for' I mentioned is the minumium term req. so you don't pay any extra maternity pay you received (above & beyond SMP) x |

| its a toughie, we were going to put ava in nursery but we decided to look after her between us, nurseries are so expensive anyway.
I'm not sure if it's different depending on where you work but I was told if i chose to resign they would still pay me for my remaining holidays. |
