Well some on you may know lukes mam and dad have just brought a house up north and we were planning on going up for xmas. Well luke found out today that he has to work until the 24th...which is rubbish. But hes told his mam we will drive up xmas eve So he will be up at 6am, do a full days work then drive the 7-9hour drive up there, settle in, go to bed and be shattered for xmas day! Ummmm NO!
I dont want to go up as it is let alone spend xmas eve driving up there

What are the roads like xmas eve Mil said they will be dead but i thought they would be packed with people going over to family and last min rushes?

If you dont want to go, cant you say that you will go next year, as it seems a bit rushed this year with Tayla being so young still?

I wouldn't worry about the roads on xmas eve hun. I used to travel down the motorways and it was always really quiet! But that long drive after a full days work is going to be exhausting

Ugh i just really cant be bothered with it all, i just want a nice relaxed xmas! We wont even be able to give Tay her presents xmas day (i know she doesnt know any better but i do!)
I dont mind going up the 23rd but not the 24th. Ill see if luke can beg for them days off!

FAO LUKE - don't drive on xmas eve! You'll get as far as Birmingham and then get stuck until the early hours of the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah sorry hun - I've always travelled to my parents on Christmas eve and it's actually a nice drive - the roads are dead, there's loads of christmas tunes on the radio, every car you see is usually packed right above the parcel shelf with presents and bags and I always get a big tin of sweets and nuts etc for the journey. I have even been known to tie a bit of tinsel to the car ariel

Its xmas day im more worried about the last time we drove up the next day i was so tired, almost like jet lagged I didnt even drive
