For the last couple of days I've had pain in my back. It's below my waist and just above my pelvis (and sort of into it) and on both sides although the left is worst. I've not done anything that could have strained a muscle, and I've not done anything out of the ordinary at all. It's a dull ache that radiates round to my sides and occasionally I get a more intense burny pain. It's a bit like back period pains.

Other than this I'm fine.

Anyone have any ideas?????

Yeah I have and it's not shifting. It's like someone is digging me in the back with their fists. It's now making my hips ache.

its not a kidney/water infection is it, you could do with getting checked by a doc Lisa xx

I've never had either of those Jo so don't know what they're like. I don't have a temperature and all is well in the wee and downstairs areas

i think kidney infection doesnt always affect downstairs but it does give middle and lower back pain.

anyhoo, get youself to the docs lady xx

Its not ov pain is it? I know it sounds off, but I had an awful back and period type pains when I ov'd the month I fell pregnant this time x

Dan has been having tests and scans on his kidneys this last week, he has pain (if I understand where he means) at the back under his rib cage - is that where you mean , i thought u meant a bit lower?

either way get it checked! They haven't found out exactly what is up with him, he has had loads of tests and they have seen a couple of minor things but nothing to exlain the pain, he cant sleep in the mornings cos laying down seems to make it worse (says feels like he has been punched in the back during the night)

i gte that pain to lisa like twinges.. but sometimes i get it worse if i move to quick x

Lisa, if you put your hands on your hips in a huffy way then it's where your thumbs are so I think that's a bit lower than Dans. I'm hoping it's just indesgestion

lisa that eaxclty where i get it ..and sometimes i do burp a little later xx but i kep getting it frequently now but also it feels likes its the muscles either side of spine and rigth where u say ..

It's a weird on eh Emma?! It's really making my left side ache. Just trying not to move about too much as it was worse when I was walking about. If it's not gone by Tuesday I'll get myself to the dr's.

i get mine on the right but sometimes the left does twinge..i originally thoughti hada kidney infection .. but nothign come back.. so i rekon it is trapped wind or something x

Oh Lisa, poor you.

Other than OV or kidney infection (although it does sound a bit low for that) my only other thoughts are, IBS - am I right in thinking you are a fellow sufferer? Or pelvic hip infection - I've had a couple of these and they're rather nasty and need treatment rather sharpish!!

Hopefully you've seen your Doc today but if not make sure to get an appointment young lady!!!

OOo sounds weird and painful.... a lady at work says this and she said she has had it since having her little boy (5 years ago in sept) I keep telling her to go drs but she wont (I wouldnt put up with it for that long)
She seems in so much pain, but hers seems to come and go???
