It's Stephen's christening on Sunday and hubby sent me to get my nails done today as a treat. When I spoke to my mum this morning she said 'why do you want to look like a chav for the christening?' So then I stopped being excited about it! Anyway I've had them done now and I just saw my mum and she said 'lets see them, oh yeah you do look like a chav'! How rude

My mum called me a chav when I put Caitlins hair in a pony tail on the top of her head. It just made me do it more often to irritate her. Ignore her hun & start getting excitd about your wee man's big day

my mum is like this alot, she doesnt like the name Edith and came straight out and told me.

Thanks everyone, I do wonder if it's something that happens to you when you get older because she's always insulting people and I wouldn't dream of speaking to one of my children the way she does! My best friend is scared of her because she never knows what she might say

Lol charming! If it wasnt for the fact its a christening id say wind her up by turning up in velour with big hoop earrings and shiny white trainers, hair in pony tail and a mockney accent.

But as you cant enjoy your day and make sure your OH compliments your nails loudly in her presence
