I haven't had one but I know a few couples who had very sucessful long distance relationships for many years. The reason for their relationships ending was nothing to do with the distance aspect. I really hope it works out for you both xxx

I dont have any experience hun but all i could advise is as long as your both work at it, have total trust in each other then i cant see why it cant work. I really hope it does work for you chick (imagine when you do see each other!!! Long distance relationships? 63701 ) xxx

Me and Luke went the whole winter one year long distance, he was in Cyprus i was in Brighton but when he flew over to Middlesbrough he came down by coach a few times (9hours it took him!) But we lasted! It was very hard, esp as we had to watch our phone bills! Good luck, hope everything turns out x

they are very hard but only becaue you miss them when they're not their but then you kind of get the benefit of being single (in that you can go out when you want wikthout worrying about someone else) but with the benefit of actually being in a relationship Smile

as long as you trust eachother you'll be fine x

having been in and out of relationships with a few too many army guys, iv never had one that works! but not because it was a distance but cause i had the stereo type!

ferg has a friend, they are married and have been for 7 years now!! they dont live together and are 8 hours apart. this is because of jobs. life stuffs etc... they work brilliantly Smile

When OH and I met he lived in London and I lived in Norfolk. it was like that for 5 months and i moved down to be with him. but Like your OH, my OH's worked relocated and it would cost to much and take too long to travel back and forth every day so he lived at his boss's house Monday to Friday (he came home Friday evening) this started 2 & 1/2 years into our relationship. we lived apart for (only seeing him weekends) for 4 years!!!

It was really really hard to start with as i have to live on my own. but i did get used to it. i'm so glad we are back living together though now.

these days with phones, emails and webcams it's surprisingly easy!

me and sam were in a LDR...3 1/2yrs just as 'friends' but then spent 7months in a LDR before i moved to Leeds

the hardest part was having to leave after we spent a day/weekend together...but if both are committed then it can work out fine

Aww hun, i don't have any real experience but i'm kind of about too. Matt is going to be working away mon-fri and coming home weekends starting mid nov. Atm he works just thurs and fri away and sometimes a full week. It's hard and i know its going to get harder but i do appreciate the time we have together more now which has strengthened our relationship.
