they sent me a video and it looks really good but a bit wary as theyve said they can offer me cash in hand so it wont affect my SMP?

My cousin did it for a while and she found it a pain in the bum so put me off but I'm thinking of maybe doing something allong those lines.

Where money i concerned hun - they basically treat you as if you are self employed so it is up to you to declare your earnings to the tax man etc. With regards to SMP you aren'y allowed to work while getting it so although in theory you could 'get away with it' if anybody knows you and is spiteful enough to grass you up hun you will lose your SMP and maybe have to pay some back so personally I would deffinately warn you against it - it's not worth the risk.

xx

well im thinking of not telling anyone about it extra close family - not even any friends. im due to go back to work in jan so its really only 2 months. they said i can work as little as 5 hours a week if i want and thought that maybe it would be good for me getting out and about delivering catalogues with alfie in his pram. gt me some exercise.

shes gonna ring me this afternoon and give me some more details. im a bit dubious but thinking any more is better than nothing for christmas.

I did avon years ago & it was ok for a bit of money for a Sat night out but I was literally getting about £40 every 3wks (per book cycle). You get about 20-25% of what you sell. It really depends on the area you will be doing and how much people spend. Id say for the £40 I did prob 6-7 hrs work. Depends how many times you are prepared to go out delivering and collecting the books. Be prepared to lose about 10-20% of your books as people never leave them out/answer the door...

I ordered off kleeneze or betterware recently and spent about £10 (so seller prob got £2-3). You could get lucky but dont be expecting to earn £100's a month. You would literally need to be walking the streets everyday. Good luck anyway and let us know if you make loads and then i'l eat my words and join you Laughing x

haha. well im one of those people who never leave there books out!! i get one delivered to my door so we obv have a rep round my way. I know my mam and my aunty doesnt have one round theres tho so that is interesting.

Im thinking anything is better than nothing and its better for me to be out and about walking rather than sitting on my fat arse every day getting lazy haha

Well you've got a good attitude so it may work for you! Very Happy

I was motivated at start but then got peeved. I might have spent an hr delivering 25 books, went back 2days later and spent an hr collecting them and found 4 people had placed orders totalling £30 Rolling Eyes . So I would do it all again until I hit the minimum order amount which was about £60 I think. I would then have to spend another hr writing order form out, checking and posting it. Then sort out the items and walk round delivering them (usually having to go back more than once as people out) and find id made £15 for it Laughing

There were good months though. If you get a good area you're flying. Christmas is probably the best time to do it. Be prepared to do evening work though, particularly for collecting payments/delivering goods as thats when most people are home.

Im sure the lady will be lovely today- but beware. You probably get about 25% of what you sell but she will be getting a cut of your profits too. Basically you are going to be making her money. The more you sell the more money she gets too. x

i used to do betterware when i was like 15, it was bollocks Laughing i had to walk a thousand miles (at least! haha) and carry heavy catalogues and it was just vile and i earned sod all........however that was a long time ago and im over it now (haha just) the only thing i would say is be really careful where your smp is concerned - you might not tell anyone but you will be out in public doing your work!

anyway that was a bit of a negative one Very Happy maybe you should look into doing ann summers or summat more fun!
