I met my OH of 9 years at an ECWS event at Old Basing Hampshire. He lived in London and i lived in Norfolk at the time.

we now live right near where we met

at a badminton club when we were 12 & 13

At college through a friend but we got together at a nightclub.

we worked together in tesco, well i worked there first and then he came in as the new night shift manager and 2wks later we were together!

we both used the same chat rooms/forums and he emailed me...he was a proper shy little virgin...i soon changed that though

we've been together 3 1/2yrs but actually known each other for 6 1/2yrs as we became best pals before meeting up

I must admit that I had met him 3 years earlier, as my ex's dad used to be Chairman of our town football club and he was friends with my ex, so four of us went to the game. I thought he was a spoilt little kid and didnt even speak to him.

I had no idea who he was when we met in the club though. Until we put the pieces of the puzzle together and he had to explain to his friend/my ex that we were getting it on, lol!

me and gav met when we were teens. well i was 14 and he was 16. we were in the same group of mutual friends who used to go round the streets drinking haha. i was always better friends with the bloys sa the girls were all bitches. me and him were best friends for 2 yrs before we got together when i was 16. we went on ou first hol together after 3 weeks and he moved in my mams with me after 6 months. we been together 8 yrs now and married for just over a yr!

My OH grandparents used to live over the road from my parents and we met and started dating when I was 12 and he was 13 (he was my first love!). It lasted for nearly a year I think, then we split. We started dating again when I was 19 for a few months and then split again and finally got back together 10 years ago!

I met Dave through my boyf at the time. My boyf got a lodger and the lodger had a little house warming do. Dave came along as a friend of a friend. That night my boyf said that I fancied Dave, I of course denighed it. I split up with the boyf about 3 weeks later and I went out with someone else before Dave and I got together. I stayed in contact with the ex's lodger as he started going out with my house mate and as it turns out the pair of them were conspiring to get me and Dave together.

LOL...on the side of the road. I was with his ex gf at the time in her car, and he waved us down and she pulled over. As he approached her vehicle..she was telling me how much of a freak he was. He leaned into her side of the window and our eyes locked. The next time I saw him, we were at a bar...he was so drunk and was chasing me around the club..his sister was trying to get him to leave me alone. He smelled like shit..had booze spillage all over him..and towards the end of the night, he was sitting with two of the skankiest looking toothless women I have ever seen. He was rescued from them eventually. We all left together, while Shayne was in the back of the pick up truck and I was in the cab, he opened the back sliding window and was playing with my hair..saying..OMG..you are just so cute. Wasn't too long after these meetings, that I knew I was in love with the big lug!

I met Rob on Facebook lol, he added me randomly, then added me on MSN, we were speaking for months before we met up for the day and I just loved every minute of it, I didn't want him to go home lol xx

He's stuck with me now haha xx

My hubby started working with my best friend and the day he started she rang me and told me that she'd met by other half! She went on and on about him to me and about me to him for months because she was convinced we were meant for each other! Eventually I gave in and went on one of her work nights out, turns out she was right! I fell madly in love as soon as I saw him and we were inseparable straight away. We knew each other was the one by our first date and we're now very happily married with a gorgeous little boy! xxx

I met oh in a bar. It was love at first sight! His mate wad chatting me up (I only talked to his mate as my friend had buggered off with some bloke) when this bloke went the loo me and oh said a few words and left the bar for what was meant to be a one night stand. But it truly was love at first sight there a few complications in the first couple of months and it hurt like hell. But we have a lovely life now.

My hubby was by brother's best mate!!! They had been friends for years and apparantly he 'liked' me for long time but was waiting til I was 16 before he asked me out, bless him xx

Well after my failed marriage, I went on a bit of a bender for about a year (really think I needed to do this before meeting someone new 'properly' if you know what I mean )

Towards the end of that year I went out with my 2 best friends for a lad I worked with's leaving do! We all met in a bar and my mate got a call from the taxi people to say they had double booked our minibus, and would we mind if they sent one of their limos instead to take us to Liverpool.......hell yeah, bring it on!!!

Well anyway, we were stood outside and a bloody fire engine limo turned up!!! We didnt know whether to laugh or cry

We all got in and were all chatting away (except for Chris who pretty much said very little the whole night!!) We chatted a bit over the evening, but not a lot, and he was nice but very very young. He seemed really nice though, but that was it.

The night ended and everyone had had a fab time. Th next day I got a txt from the lad I worked with to say Chris really liked me, and wanted a date! I was shocked, I had absolutely no idea, TBH I really didnt want to go, but thought what the hell....its a night out if nothing else!

I went and it was OK, but he was so shy and still didnt talk a lot , and I really thought WTF did he have beer goggles on the other night, and now hes realised I am a bit fat, and a bit old ........anyhow I couldnt wait to get home!!

The next day, he sent a txt saying could he see me again.....WTF.....NO!! I thought I need to put an end to this, and phoned him up and just said look Chris, you hardly speak, is this a wind up! Anyhow, he said that he couldnt forgive himself if 'he let me get away'....OMG cringeworthy! He begged for one last chance, and promised that this date would be diferent, and that hed been shy!

We went out and wow what a difference, funny, attentive, gorgeous.......we were inseperable from that day, and hes my absolute soulmate!

Yes theres and age difference, but weve been married now for over 3yrs, and obviously have our beautiful kids (I previously never wanted any!)

I poked James on Facebook on the 1st November 2007 (6 weeks after my husband of 9 yrs walked out)...I sat one night searching single men within 25 miles, poked about 5 he poked back first i sent him a message, then chatted on msn we physically met on 14th Nov having never spoken previously only typed.. we are both boy/girl cruisers, go to car shows etc. and blonged to the same clubs so we ended up hooking up as friends with benefits and then endded up just sticking together lol!

my dad was teaching ian to drive ambulances and brought him and the other students round for a cupper and i saw ian and had a crush then we bumped into each other in town and swapped numbers! started txting arranged to meet in a night club with my mate and his mate, his mate and mine got to gether and me and ian are still very happy together

well after being a single mom for 6 yrs, meeting men off the internet, getting hurt in numerous ways. i decided that i would buy a cat and be a single mom.

after 2004/5 new years eve i got rather drunk on a bottle of rum and signed myself up to an internet dating website, russ was first one to email me back, we talked on msn for mnths, then in the july he disappeared. well i heaerd nothing from him (he was caring for his dad who had cancer, found this out later)

on january 5th 2006 i emailed him and he always tells me that the email came as he was emailing me. we talked again and met on 15th april 2006.

the 2nd date we decided on baby names and he moved in soon after, he proposed on 15th october 2006 (6months to the date we met), we got married 2yrs and 4 days after we met.

Id been living in my own place for about 6 months and was bored and a bit lonely so signed up to yahoo personals for a giggle just to meet people to chat to. Most of the ads i got i binned because they started in the 'so fancy meeting up for a shag' vein but then i got this one from this guy who described himself as 'a bit like homer simpson'. I was also emailing another nice sounding guy at the time but we hadnt organised meeting. I went and met Neil at the outlet village near us for a coffee and we hit it off so much i took him with me to a friends party i was going to that afternoon. 6 months later we were living together, 3 years later we were married and 6 years on im up the duff with his 2nd bubba lol. Never did email the other guy back after neil and I's 1st date

hmm the first time i met my hubby i accosted him at my student's union - not a normal thing for me and i wasn't drunk but i just HAD to speak to him, it was weird. we were together for a while.

the second time - 3 years after we parted company, i emailed him asking if he was in or out, in the middle of the night and he drove halfway across scotland to meet me on a very wet street corner he never left and now we have been married for just over 2 years.
