| Alfie is 6 months now and still refuses to sit unaided. I have a bumbo which he spends quite alot of time in and i sit him on the floor holding him/or supported between my legs and hes fine. Then as soon as i move away he just seems to slouch and throw himself backwards. Im not sure whether its cos he cant do it or just wont and is lazy?
I thought he was meant to be able to sit unaided by 6 months?

| I think ava was about 6 months but pretty wobbly and about 7 months completely stable. As Amanda said that's just a guide and Alfie will do it in his own time, x |

| Like the others say hun - don't worry - they all do things at different stages. Thomas sat up at 5 1/2 months wobbly and 6 months steady and was quite quick with the crawling/walking/running stages but even now at 22 months doesn't talk that well.

| 6 months for short periods and very wobbly. She was 7 or 8 months before she was steady and confident. |

| Bethany was about 6 months old but again like the others have said was wobbly. Don't they (ie books) say the average is between 6-8 months. |

| 7months+ She didnt roll until 6 mths + and I thought she was behind physically but then she took off, sitting at 7mths (probably nearer 8 by time was confident), crawling at 8-9mths, pulled to stand at 10mths and first steps at 11.5mth. If you'd told me at 6mths when she could barely roll that she would have been walking before 1 id have laughed in your face. Theyre all so different and do things at different pace. |

| i would say elijah is still wobbly but well on his way to sitting up - however still showing no interest in rolling and is happy to just lie on his back and wait for things to come to him - from his pics alfie looks really capable on his side whereas eli just freaks out - theres only a few weeks between them but they will pick different things up at different times |

| cheers. just thinking that he may be getting a little lazy. his rolling just suddenly came one day and some days he rolls from back to front and vice versa whereas others he cries (deffo laziness).
I want to get him in his highchair so i can get him on finger food but dont want to put him in it until he sits up ok! x |
