| My head is pickled!
I want to get Amelia a doll and pram for Christmas only I detest dolls so don't know where to start. I think the least hideous soft body doll seems to be the 1st Baby Annabell one but if I get it what type of pram should I get????
Amelia is tall, solid on her feet and quite strong but I don't know whether to get her a buggy type one or one like this; http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Toys/Dolls/Baby-Dolls-and-Accessories/Silver-Cross-Ranger-Doll-Pram-in-Marshmallow%280070718%29 ------This one says it's for 3+ but I've had a go with it and it'd be fine for her, just maybe a bit hard to steer?
Ugh someone help! |

| 1st baby annabell is quite small and might look a bit lost in a big pram. To make it easier for her to steer maybe you could get on with swivel wheels. I got the herbie pram for my lo for xmas, she is nearly 3. |

| I'm rubbish coz I hate dolls too - never liked them when I was little either. I do love the silvercross prams though - very cute and not as tacky as the baby annabel branded ones.
What about this one? http://www.thetoyshop.com/SoftToysAndDolls/BabyDolls/OtherBabyDolls/Silver-Cross-Ranger-Dolls-Pram/EPN271437

| Thanks Shell, I only looked in ToysRus and none of their prams had swivel wheels. Just looked up the Herbie and it's lovely, unfortunately it'll be too big for her, and too tall.
I'm actually thinking a little set like this might be a better idea? Do you think it'd be ok with the little Baby Annabell? http://www.elc.co.uk/Cup-Cake-Complete-Collection/125306,default,pd.html |

| Hey.
This is the pram I've got hannah for her 2nd birthday. She's had a go of it in the shop and I've set it up and its fine for her. The handle bars adjust too until she's comfy with height. It means it will last her for a good while yet. X |

| Thanks Debs, it's the same pram but in a different colour to the one I posted See I could cope with the tackiness of the ELC cupcake one as I love cupcakes but the silvercross one is nicer....see my problem! So Steph you got the silvercross one? See I thought it'd be ok for Amelia even though she's younger than the age range |

| Yep we got the silvercross one. Its totally fine for height. Hannah pushed it around toysrus for a good while and she could steer it ok as well. And this was a good 3-4 month ago too.

| Oh wicked! I think that one is top of my list right now then! Hannah's really strong and physically advanced but I'm sure Amelia will catch up! |

| Like you said amelia is tall and strong too. Hannahs a bit of a shortie I would say. Its still a few months til xmas anyway and she will probably only use it in house til spring/summer and then it will be more than perfect for her. And anyway what's all this hating dolls and prams that's the best thing about having a girl X |

| hey Lisa, Isla has the silver cross ranger one, and as you know shes only diddy, but she can push it easily, and manouvere it round the house But she also loves her baby annabelle simple buggy. have you thought about a cabbage patch kid doll.....Isla has a baby annabelle that she doesnt really bother with a lot, but loves putting her teddies and her cabbage patch dolls in her pram. The cabbage patches are just a bit more 'snuggly'....you can get lovely boxed ones on ebay! I got a retro one the other day all boxed brand new for £20, so its gone away for christmas!! But then again you may hate them! |

| I HATE dolls too - always have and I did think we might get away with it with Libby but she got a doll last year for her birthday and she has only just started playing with it, she was even putting it in the new pram we got today for the new baby and saying 'nunnights' We're going to get her a better doll and pram set when the new baby comes and I do like the look of those Silver Cross ones but she is absolutely tiny still so don't know if it would be too big I do also like the look of the Graco 6 in 1 set in Argos though xx |

| Aww thanks all of you for the advice! I think as Isla and Hannah manage with their Silvercross prams then Amelia will love it too. Just got to run it past Dave now I suppose!
LisaM I used to love Cabbage Patch Kids when I was little but my Mum talked me out of liking them. She's responsible for my dislike of Dolls full stop! LOL |

Shes got a mamas and papas sport 03 buggy in this fabric http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mamas-Papas-Sports-Stroller-Bubble/dp/B003MO56YQ though as i recalled i paid a tenner less than that You can get it cheaper in argos but i didnt like the fabric Perfect for c and the dolly doesnt look dwarfed by it We have now got her a pack of nappies, some magic bottles and my sis is getting dolly a cot. Just gotta get some tiny doll clothes |
