Hi ladies

just wondering what you would do in my situation?

I have a dentist appointment next tuesday and I have to have a bit of work done - could possibly end up with an extraction pale. Originally OH was gonna take a half day to have the kids but turns out he can't coz he has an importnant meeting Rolling Eyes so now I am faced with going alone with both kids Shocked

I have already rearanged the appointment once and did with my last one too so really dont wanna cancel again but I don't think it's a great idea to take the kids either Dentist appointment 548646

What would you do? Cancel the appointment again and have to wait 2-3 weeks (getting very close to xmas etc for follow ups) or take the kids in the double buggy and risk them screaming the place down whilst I'm stuck in the chair with a drill down my throat? Sad also if it ends up in extraction, is this something I really want my kids witnessing? might put them off for life Shocked. I have nobody who can look after the kids apart from OH and he struggles to get time off so don't know what to do? Neutral

xx

Hmmmmm difficult one!

Last time I took Aimee when I went for a check up, she was a right little bugger, although she was a bit younger than Thomas is now.

I think you will be fine with Hannah, its just keeping Thomas occupied while you get the work done.

Maybe call them and see if they are happy with it... and take Thomas a toy to sit and play with?

me personally.. id cancell!!

call them up and explain situation. mibi the receptionist will be able to chases after thomas in the waiting room with some toys and u could try and swing it so hannah is sleeping, or both kids sleeping??

or if there is a spare hand of staff then keep both in the buggy and let them do the smiles and distractions with toys and quavers??

my doctors is good for that sometimes, my twin buggy does not fit down my doctors hallway or thru his door :@

Me and hubby went to the dentist and booked back-to-back appointments so we could take turns with bean. I foolishly thought he'd be all fascinated and in awe at the lights, chair etc. but nope Rolling Eyes he was wriggling to get down, wanting to see everything and run about... didn't help that the dentist & nurse couldn't wait to get out of there - he said at least three times about how they finished at 5 / 10mins ago / don't have long to discuss Mad

Unless you have something that you can guarrantee will keep your two occupied... I'd say re-think it. Is there a friend who could come with and entertain them / feed bribes / pick up chucked toys when they're in the pram? xx
