Well the consultant was lovely, he was the same one that done the scan which confirmed Ollie had died though so it was a bit hard seeing him. He actually agreed with everything I had to say and didn't try to bulshit his way out of anything, he actually apologised and said that with my blood pressure being so high they should have delivered him there and then, regardless of the protein in my urine (which they didn't find out about till after he was born because no one checked).

I asked about future pregnancies and tried to get him to commit to an early delivery but he reckons I have a 60-70% chance of the pre eclampsia reoccuring and it will be a miracle if I get anywhere near full term because I'll be monitored so closey that any change will result in an emergency c-section.

The funny thing is just as I was about to leave he explained that he didn't do anti natal care at this hospital he just done the gynacologology side of things and he strongly advised me never to go back there but to get transferred to a different hospital (wich he will arrange when I get a bfp). So it just goes to show really even their own staff dont trust them!

oh hen i dont know what to say that would comfort you but i couldnt read and run. good that u have the security in knowing the car in future pregnancies will be better monitored.

Thank god he didn't try and talk his way out of everything and that he apologised - it's the least he can do. At least you've got peace of mind for next time that you will be closely monitored. I'm so sorry for what happened to Ollie hun xxx

Hey hun,

I just wanted to say that I had pre-eclamp with Isla from 30wks, and my protein and BP got to silly levels and I was admitted etc. However with Jess, I didnt get it.....my BP rose slightly towards the end and my protein got to plus 1, but not enough to warrant a Pre-e diagnosis.

I just wanted to give you some hope that it may not happen again, or be as severe. I was positive history would repeat, but thankfully it didnt....I got to 38wks with Jess xxx

I know next time you will be super anxious you just have to makesure you do what he told you! i hope its reassuring to know that you will be monitored Very closely!
