I am proper excited Shocked

I don't really know why though - I had a 7 hour labour with Libby, she was back to back with her hand next to her face, had a failed ventouse (it popped off) and an epesiotomy with millions (well felt like millions) of stitches which left me in agony for at least 10 weeks but I still can't help but feel excited. I think there's something wrong with me Laughing xx

I'm in denial, not just because of the pain (which was bad, but only for a few hours, then a couple of weeks afterwards), but because we have building work going on at home which clearly wont' be done in time, and because we still don't have good plans for babysitters when I go into labour - not helped by not currently having a spare room for a guest to stay over.

Anyone else finding they get M'care vouchers for things just after they've bought them? We bought a new front carrier and a Moses basket mattress 2 weeks ago, then last week got a voucher off a front carrier, then this week a 10% off [almost] anything in M'care.... very frustrating.

It's nuts isn't it. I honestly can't fathom why it isn't screened for scratch
Is it something that stays with you then? Glad they've picked up on it for you.
Back to denial now Laughing xx

I know it really should be screened for in pregnancy. Apparently it can come and go. I may have had it with jamie and not known and he was fine but theres no way of knowing if i had it then Neutral
And yep certainly in denial now Laughing

I'm having a section this time round for the baies safety, I would do labour again no probs! Considering the circumstances I had a really good labour, from start to finish it was 2 hours and 35 minutes, only 5 mins of pushing and not so much as a graze, only had gas and air while pushing! I was expecting much worse tbh!

Im having an elective sec so im more worried about a)actually getting there safe and b)reacting to the drugs again. Hoping they actually pull their fingers out and i get my anaesthetic review soon to see if i can have somethng different this time. Im also being swabbed for GBS as had it with c but assuming its a moot point dueto the section

I'm still trying to pop on here when I can, seems to be mostly at night whilst feeding lol

But I was so worried about labour this time towards the end, like you all say more than the 1st. I quite enjoyed (if that's the word) last time. But I was worried that I hadn't remembered how it actualy was properly. As people say oh you forget, was thinking what have i forgot??! But seriously it's not! It was how I remembered, only thing contractions were more painful I thought but then I was so quick I didn't have tome to get use to them before got stronger. But my advice is don't think what's next, that's all I did this time thinking about the next stage, like them closer, then pushing, then crowning (mind happened all so quick from pushing she just shot out haha) but the Mw kept telling me each labour is different, so it won't be the same. So don't worry about a certain stage as it may be easier or quicker than last time.

As for being quick, I was only 5hours with lillie & was told this would be quicker & it was! Only 2 &1/2 hours. If Id listened to the hospital I would have stayed a bit longer at home & well.... So I'd say you ho when you think it's time don't listen to them lol

Only thing ladies i'l give you heads up on (no one tells you this!!!) stock up on paracetomol for afterwards!!!! After pains!!! Holy cow I didn't expect that! Thought I had them with lillie strong period pains... The Mw said you'l have after pains just take parcetomol.... But they don't say what they feel like (maybe it's me) bur jepers I thought I was in labour again! To the point I was going to ring the hospital! I could have easily taken gas&air. But within few hours they eased. Just when feeding would come back. So have been warned! Lol they say they het stronger with each child you have, its not as if we dont ho through enough as it is!!!Lol

But it really isn't too bad, was how I remembered it & over & done with in hours & I was home worth every bit of it!!!! Can't wait to hear/see some babies!!! X x x x

Both my girls were good labour. 5hrs for each. First with an episiotomy and 2nd was fine. Just slight grazes. My MW's were fab and basically let me do it on my own the 2nd time all they did was stand beside me and tell me i was doing well Smile
