Im not sure I totally understand what you mean... could you post a pic? If you feel your own ribs there are 2 floating ribs (not connected in the middle) so id guess thats maybe why they more visable/protrude

Hmmm, im now starting to wonder whether only females have floating ribs so they can carry babies... when my OH comes back from loo I shall examine his ribs
Caitlin ribs have always shown. She was bf for 8weeks and then formula and always has had a slim torso (well lately she has a wee budda/ethiopian type belly, but still quite ribby

I think its normal for ribs on LO's to show. Caitlin was always 50th centile for weight until her last app when she was 75th, I dont undersand how though as she still looks skinny to me.
Basically I would say yup its mummy paranoia but if you really worried ask GP next time you are there. X
