but i just want to cry im nackard, cant sleep cos of these steroids and my eye is so sore my skin is coming off from the patches...dont want to tell anyone that its getting to me cos its like a sign of weakness but i dont know how will be able to cope with weeks maybe months of this its only been two days x

awww Gemz - lots of hugs :(hug): <<<<<not touchy feely ones like that though pmsl. Are you able to take painkillers?? have you googled the condition to see if you can aleviate the symptoms somehow?? xx

Can you not take the eye patch off for a wee while just to give the skin some respite?

ahh gemz hope youre ok, one of my friends had the same and it took her about 5 days to feel a difference, i'm sure you look beautiful even with an eye patch, big hugs xx

thanx ladies.minimeg, i might just nip t gp in the morning see if they can prescribe me something to soothe my skin, its been bleeding in a bit and is so raw, it would be ok if i could just leave the patch on but my eye wants to be open so then the patch rubs on my eyeball when it manages to force its self open(if you get me) so have to take it off and re apply it
zee- i can keep the patch off for a little while and wear glasses to stop as much air getting in but then gets really dry and sore after about an hour, and by the end of the day around 5pm and after its just too dry to keep the patch off at all...just hope to god im one of the majority that start to recover after 2 weeks
