hmph so after the rash the h.v told us was a dribble rash (hm we had our suspicions) we have just gotten back from the doctors and it's actually thrush.

now, i know it isn't anybody's fault but i am so grumpy about it, we had loads of trouble with thrush and after the f*cking hv not believing me that we STILL had it we had a very painful first 3 moths of bf and i ended up taking loads of medication to finally get rid of it - i feel so cheated that it is back!

i just have no idea how he keeps getting it, although he has a cold just now...

but does the surgery think hmmm we know what did and didn't work last time lets try that again? oh no no no they have given me the normal meds *again* and said oh well if it gets painful (painful is not the word) again just come back....it takes a f*cking month to get an appointment!

so not very well worded, but i am feeling sore and pissed off that they wont just believe me that i know whats wrong, give me the meds i want and know work and let me get on with being a mummy!

(yes, i do know f*cking best!)

poor eli, . when you make an appointment do you tell them eli's age , at my surgery all babies under a year get prefernce and quick appointments, i usually just ask to speak to the duty doctor and that gets you in quicker. It really is frustrating though because mums do know best!

Oh hun, i know the feeling, Charlie and myself had thrush for a few weeks when he was little.
I didn't go to my GP, i went to my local sure start centre to get charlie weighed and spoke to the breast feeding specialist, she was a hv also.
She was brilliant and had the ability to write perscriptions herself. I'm sure there must be the same thing in your area?

She use to run a breast feeding support group once a week also, and really did know her stuff. Was so much better than the gp in my experience!

funnily enough my h.v is indeed the bf lady about town, does the groups and is able to prescribe etc which makes it all the more frustrating!

really got no pennies at the moment Sad but would consider it if we did.

just been on the phone this afternoon and changed elijah's appointment to my name so i can get a prescription (because they can't give us both prescriptions as they are different names!)...what a load of bollocks.
