Hiya, Sophia has recently become crazy for bananas which i think is brill, however, how many a day is ok? The reason i ask is that i had heard that for an adult, six bananas has too much pottasium so can be dangerous so that made me wonder how many is safe for a baby? I have not given her more than two and a half a day but think this could be excessive. What do you guys think/know? Thanks for your help, the last hing i want to do is harm her by giving her too much of something she likes, and in the correct amounts is ok for her. Thanks, Mandy x

I think the most i've given O is 2 a day. They do have high levels of potasium in but there is also other sources such as potatoes, broccoli and other stuff so you have to take that into consideration too. Have a read of this link though and it kinda explains it (read to the bottom though as there are updates) http://moms4mom.com/questions/3773/how-many-bananas-can-a-toddler-eat

Glad you asked this... Aimee is crazy over them too. I limit her to one a day, then she has to have other fruit. She is a total fruit freak though and has at least 4 portions a day and just stands by the fruit bowl begging for it all day! x
