Late last night I noticed something on my side. I thought it was a spot so picked at it a bit before turning the light on. Anyway, it turns out it is a mole. It started bleeding badly and is now really sore.

I'm not sure if anybody remembers but a few months ago my dad had a cancerous mole removed and his dad died of one at a young age.

I'm going to call the doc first thing.

aww hun, i can understand why you are concerned. was it itching befor you picked it or was there anything to make you notice it?? moles will bleed a hell of a lot if you pick at them!! hopefully nothing to worry about but definatley go get it checked out, hope all is ok xx

moles do tend to bleed quite badly, but you are right to go and get it checked out if you're worried. Hope it's all ok x

During pregnancy you tend to get skin tags which are like moles. I had them but they disappear after but i wojld get it checked to be on the safe side x

I was just laying there and thought 'oooh I have a spot' and started to pick it a little and then thought better of it and looked in the mirror and saw it was a mole.

I have had 3 taken out previously because of my granddad, so hopefully the doctor will just remove it without a fight, especially after my dads mole this year too x

I hope the doctor does remove it for you, given the family history you would think he would.
