Any dentists in the house?**UPDATE** _
PostSubject: Any dentists in the house?**UPDATE**   Any dentists in the house?**UPDATE** EmptyWed Nov 17, 2010 6:59 am

Sam has fallen, well i say fallen more like pushed by Archie in play and has fell face first onto the floor with his dummy in.

Picked him up and his mouth was pouring with blood.

Anyhow had a good luck and it looks like hi 2 front teeth have gone up into the gum slightly and the string thing that joins the lip to the gum is cut and a couple of fat lips.

Do i need to be worried about the teeth? Its only very slightly and they dont seem to have changed position but are slightly further up than before.

Any replies greatly appreciated xx

if it helps I saw that happen to a wee boy on some programme (supernanny or something) and he had to go to dentist and it corrected itself and there was no need for treatment.

maybe just go and get him checked by the dentist anyway just to be sure.

hope hes ok sounds like a sore one

Aww, poor little man Sad I'm sure i've heard of this happening too. Not sure about the treatment but its always best just to get them checked over.

Your poor nephew, I didn't realise they'd take them out Shocked

Take him in hun, just for a PA to see what if any damage is done. Not too worried with the mouth bleed as it will heal pretty quickly. I am concerned that his top anteriors have shifted. The sooner the better too. For now..just put a cold compress on the upper lip and apply some pressure. If you can't get into the dentist tonight..please try to get in tomorrow if you can. Failing that, take him in to see a doc hun. The little piece of skin attached to his gum tissue is not a big deal, actually is a good thing, as most of them pull down the gum tissue and cause root exposure in the long run. Do not wiggle his teeth nor allow him to with his tongue. xxx

Most and all tissue will reattach itself to the tooth hun. Keep his mouth clean, and within about 2-3 days you will see it back to normal. Did you manage to get an early appt for him with the dentist?

If the root is still present..yes...you put the tooth in a cold glass of milk..bite down on a sterile piece of gauze or wadded up kleenex and rush it to a dentist..they can reinsert it. But the key is not to wait for an appointment...you just show up and I am certain that any dentist worth his salt would get you in immediately. xxx
