hi well as u all know jody was in hospital on the 1st till 8th of now with the run of mill s and d bug . well since then she has been better but still has loose stools and 3-4 huge vomits a week . also the blood results show her alt emzimes in her liver high should be between 35 and 115 . her normal is 33 . when she left the hospital they were 94 sho had to go back 3 days later they were 200 then yesterday they were 300 . consultant was thinking they would go doen . seen them againtoday the reckon that as all the other blood is ok and they tested for anythink sisnster that its just to go with they bug and SHOULD go down on itself she has a scan next fridat anway to look at liver. i asked if they will repeat blood to cheak it going don they said no i am fuming surly they cant let it just rise i mean what if it doestnt go down . anyway she is still having and has had loose stools for 8 we ow so they have taken stool ssamplea and will be back tuesday they looked for commom bugs before but will now look for less common also see if theyre is any signs she may be lacotse intorlerant . the way the hospital has treated me and her and all the added worry they have caused us we are complaining and seeking
a second opinion from another hospital. i hope the stoll comes back with somthink awful as it sounds i just cant comprehend that she has diarel and sick for NO reason other then she just one of thoes kids..

GOOD news well ish. jody has also had ear infections alot 15 in 11 months . well they have agreed to gdo grommet dorignaly 5 months wait but have agreed to do her asap so she is booked in for 2nd of dec. so hopefully at least one of her issues will startto get etter .

Aww poor Jody and poor you. I don't understnd why the hospital won't repeat blood test to check the levels have gone down. I hope you are able to get a second opinion and get some answers soon.

Poor jody, don't think I would be hoping that the 2nd opinion shows up something awful, think I would feel happier if she was mine and was just a kid that catches alot of bugs rather than something more serious

I'd be inclined to say if there is any damage to the liver an ultrasound is a more accurate dianostic test than the bloods so if the ultrasound is ok the blood results are more likely to be raised because of the bug and any drugs given. If they find anything on the ultrasoud they would repeat the bloods then but if its fine the bloods wouldnt really tell thm anything moreaccurte. That would be my understanding of it anyway but ask them to explain what they are thinkin to you.
