| I drink loads of tea and coffee and use Colgate Total Plus Whitening
It wont make your teeth any whiter than they are normally, I dont think any toothpaste can, but it keeps them from staining |

| Hiya girls..yeah..toothpastes will not whiten further than your natural tooth color. Pretty much all they do is remove surface stains. If you want to whiten your natural tooth color by a few shades, the cheapest way to do it is with those store bought whitening strips. We always recommended the Crest brand as they worked the best. They vary in variety..some you can wear and leave on while you go about your business...and some you can leave on for only 30 mins. Average cost here is about 30 CAD. They are easy to use and you should see a noticeable difference in a few days. The next step up is a bleaching kit which your dentist will have to take impressions of your teeth for a custom fitting bleach tray. You would apply a small line amount across the tray and insert..making sure you wiped off excess immediately as it can burn the gum tissue and turn it white for a few days. You must use a desensitizing toothpaste with this as your teeth will be extremely sensitive while using this. Average cost - 100-150 CAD. The best system and and longest lasting is the in office treatment which takes an hour to complete. They fit you with large clear bleaching trays and use a a high strength bleach and set a large blue laser like lights on it. This costs anywhere from 250-500 CAD depending on the office. But lasts almost 2 years. Toothpastes..do nothing but polish... even if they claim to whiten..they don't. xxx |
