I hereby bequeath the snow trophy to you all currently freezing...buried and digging yourselves out! Your blizzard has made the news over here! I cannot believe the amount you poor ladies have received..that is sheer craziness! I hope you are keeping yourselves safe and warm and do not drive in it unless it's an emergency! Winter has just begun and thus far you ladies have had the worst start! xxx

We have had not much for snow, which is fine by me. We have had a few cold days where it dipped down into the mid minus 20's, but so far its been mild. Jan and Feb are suppose to be brutal. Watching the ppl of GB digging themselves out is shocking. xxx

hahaha ours is the same out the back, you can just see the wheelie bins peeking out between their hats and trousers of snow on saturday before it really started snowing it was about 2 inches of solid ice which is still there underneath so no adventures for elijah! you can hear it cracking when you walk, i felt like an ice road trucker

We've had some snow but not as bad as some areas!!!

Jen - we went to Toronto 3 years ago in January and it was soooooooo cold about -15 and was snowing when we where there but when we were talking to some of your fellow countrymen, they were saying, it wasn't as cold as it normally is that time of year!!!

When we went to Colorado it snowed one night more than have we have had this whole time...we just not used to it!

We are lucky here though as we don't have as much as some of you ladies have - so long as we don't venture up a bit, which round her is within 2 miles lol we are ok

You guys have wet snow..which is damn heavy! Our snow is more like powdered crystals because it's so dry. Mara..might wanna shovel off your deck! Have seen a few deck collapses due to snow weight! Jan and Feb here is when we get our cold snap...when I say cold..it's minus 40+. Last year we hit a record low of minus 62 with the wind chill. The news showed waist high snow in some parts of the UK and peoples cars abandoned in the ditch. If you have to drive..add some weight to the back of your cars using sand bags, should help..and never slam on your brakes! Hope you guys get a thaw real soon. xxx

this snow is baaaaaad, can't believe it made canadian news though.

we're one of the areas where it's pretty bad, yesterday it was ok to walk in but today it's impossible, even with a p&t there is no way it will push through that snow!

Its actually twice as bad now, and like Mari we have stairs leading to our front door although at the mo it just looks like a steep hill

It may not look that bad but we have a huge tree that kinda shelters our garden from a lot of the snow...the roads are just ridiculous, its like a ghost town here, literally no one is venturing out.

I think we should all post our pics of the snow in our areas too see which is worse lol xx

Tonight

I can't take credit for this one - this is up North Yorkshire way. It doubled in depth in a few hours, prob about 10" there. We've only got an inch or two here, although a bit more might warm the place up a bit as we've just had hard freezing bloomin trecherous frosts before snow today & yest (I is not allowed out unsupervised anymore... ) x

he he love the trophy jen, we have it quite bad today although not as bad as where my family live, its waist deep, my auntie had to dig my heavily pg(36 weeks) cousine out of her house today
