| Ok, so after my hoohaa with the MW the other day and speaking to the lady at the private clinic she offered me an ultrasound today to check the wellbeing of the baby.
I went for it this morning and everything was fab, when I got home I was looking at the measurements that she took and compared them to my 20 week scan which was 10 days ago.
19 weeks and 5 days....
HC 165.0mm BPD 44.0mm AC 152.0mm FL 33.0mm
21 weeks and 1 day....
HC 179.7mm BPD 50.6mm AC 152.8mm FL 37.7mm
Anyway basically looking at the measurements her AC hasn't grown at all in the last 10 days and according to a chart ive found on the net it should have grown by approx 12mm.
Im really concerned now that even though it still puts her measurements within the normal range, that it hasn't grown at all.
I dont know if theres anyone I can speak to over the weekend either??

| Oh, ermm not sure hun but what I would say is dont listen to the charts online, on Babycentre they say that the baby should be about 30cm at 23 weeks and this little man was 33cm 3 weeks ago! If they were concerned I'm sure they would of asked you to go back and have another scan to monitor you? Looking at your measurements though she definately is growing so please try not to worry hun xxxx |

| You really need to try and relax or you're going to drive yourself mad. As Susan said, if they were worried they would have called you back x |

| 1st of all hon for your own mental wellbeing stop googling I say this with love. My consultant radiologist said at my uterine atery doppler its not an exact science so sometimes measurements can be overestimated or underestimated. If they over estimated the last scan then there would be growth thats not charted same if they underestimated this one. At my last scan Awen was coming in at 1lb 7oz but the range for error was 1lb 1oz and 1lb 12 oz. Its really not exact |

| The main thing that has made me concerned is that the lady at the private clinic doesn't know what the measurements were at my 20 week scan, so although it still is within the normal range she doesn't know that it hasn't changed. I wish I hadn't compared them now xx |

| And if you went for a scan in another 10 days you may find shes suddenly shot up and out. Really isnt an exact science mate |

| Sorry just re read your post and was getting confused with decimal places, thinking that the increase was nearly 12mm. Clearly not!! Tbh i never looked at any of the measurements i was given with either of my scans. I know it must be so difficult after wanting this darling baby for so long, but i agree that you should try to stop googling things!! x x x |

| I'm going to go against the grain here because the abdominal circumference is the one that measure growth/weight but in saying this I mean you should call midwife monday and see what her thoughts are not panic all weekend because it's probably nothing |

| Mine always checked the measurements before letting me go and would tell me if they were worried about something. Try to not worry about it and give them a ring monday morning that will put ur mind at ease xx |

| Yes definately, so pleased that it was just a typo, but she did say that babies also grow in fits and spurts so some weeks there legs and arms might grow more and other weeks there tummy grows more if you get what I mean xx |

| Glad was ok. But I agree with girls stay away from google!! Does more damage I swear! They can get measurements wrong though Hun, iv know people told going to have a massive head or stomach & having regular scans & when born they were way out. They told me Hollie was going to be a 9/10lber she wasn't.
Try (I know hard) to relax Hun, the more you are baby will be. Plus enjoy being preg doesn't last long, soon shel be here screaming house down hehe;0) xxx |
