| Hi
has anyone used this company, there's one in our local mothercare/ELC.
I want a nice photo of ellie, for her grandparents for Christmas, I just want to know if I should give them a try or use an indepenant photographer?
Also, has anyone got any idea of how much it costs?
xx |

| They are good. Did you get voucher in your bounty pack to get a free sitting and a 10x12 pic every 6 mths till they 2? Most people do. If you dont, not sure how much sitting is but a 8x10 is £30, pretty dear! However they do deals and ast time I got 5 8x10 for £100. Time befor that I got a massive one for £90. Only thing is you may not get pic by xmas, mine usally arent ready until 2 Fridays after the sitting, so 2-3 wk wait usually x |

| Yeah iv only ever been to the studio and the seem to be about 3x the price of what some of the ladies on here have said mobile ones cost. They take loads of dif poses and then tell you the whole package is £480 or something daft, but then work with you to get it down to your budget by selecting only a few pics. Soooo hard to pick but! |

| I know lots of people do like them...but (I am critical cos I am studying photography lol) their pics often just don't seem that good quality compared to a really good independent photographer Izzy had hers done by an independant (to be fair though he is on the top 100 list of best photographers, even so...) this is one, which is small proof with no editing, so cant even see how good the original really was |

| Lisa, I love your photo of izzy too!
Thanks terri, I'll have a look at the website at the voucher.
But to be honest, after reading your replies I'm kinda put off by the pricing, I hate getting ripped off or negociating a price. I just want a few nice photos and one or two big ones!
I'll get a few prices tomorrow
thank you all so much for your advice and info.

| you can usually get the first one really cheap as part of the shoot, at mine its £7.50, i never usually buy the other ones as i think theyre overpriced and you can't get a cd backup. |

| i went there with evan the photographer was great and i got some fab photos!! i ended up spending almost £400 tho, i got 3 huge bloc pic type ones and aload of mid sized prints and some smaller size prints cost a fortune but to me was worth it! my dad jst paid for us to go to an independant photographer and we were £40 for the sitting and u get 10 7x5prints and to be honest her prices for other pics were jst as expensive and no where near as good a pixifotos my dad gave me £100 to spend and all i got was one 12x16 bloc pic and one 10x12 print for my mum and the £100 was spent (including the £40 for sitting) so id def recommend pixifoto even tho they r pricey pics are amazing quality and they can do so much with the pictures my 3 big ones have like one main pic of evan then 3 smaller pics in the same bloc they are really nice |

| I went to pixifoto for 1st set and spent 200. Had another 2 sets done since but with a company calld dawson strange as i like the fact they let you pick any photo as your complementaty one not justthe 1st one they take. 1st time we went we spent 200 on about 6 photos and 2nd time got 2 sets of 5 in panoramic frames for 135 cos of an offer. Next time i go will be to have awen and c done together and will either go back to DS or try another local one 5 mins from me my mum used to work with and reccomended (plus im hoping to name drop my mum lol) |
