SO I'll start... The only thing I am guilty about and I feel really bad about it is...I am lazy in the mornings Izzy wakes up and shouts me but if I ignore her she goes back to sleep for another 40 mins-an hour...then wakes again and REALLY tells me she wants to get up so I get her up. I feel really bad about this as it happens every day I don't work, so 4 out of 7 days. I have decided to change this, Dan mentioned it today and said I was lazy - I hate being reminded of things I already know..and the fact he notices is really embarrassing - he wouldnt know if he didnt work at home lol So get it off your chest - what are you guilty of?!

hahaha im lazy too i know if elijah wakes up at say 8 or ahem...9, if i feed him and snuggle with him he sleeps again for another hour...ah a vicious circle cos then he doesn't sleep til late, and then we are knackered in the morning and so on also on the laziness front...elijah generally doesn't get brekkie til about 12 i will make more effort on that front when he isn't bf all the time!

| I'm guilty of being lazy in the mornings too. Immi walks into my room and I put cbeebies on for her and sleep for another 30mins (or longer) normally. I feel awful doing it but I just can't get myself up.
I'm also guilty of letting her entertain herself in the day. I find it really hard to do things with her as she won't let me read to her, she doesn't like me to play with her and altho she's moderately interesting in cooking and painting i don't want to do that everyday. So mostly I sit and watch her play or do some reading and she just runs around by herself. I feel horrible about this as I don't feel like i'm stimulating her enough but just find it really hard to know what to do with a girl that doesn't really want me to play with her. |

Is it just one thing or can we say more Seriously though we are none of us perfect. We all have times when we dont do things right , lose our temper, swear in front of the kids, are lazy at times but were all human. I do loads of things wrong where the kids are concerned but i dont feel guilty for it most of the time xx

Guilty of snapping at the kids for petty little things. Last night lost it on Matt for not taking down his pile of clean laundry..which resulted in a huge argument...and I need to pay attention to my swearing..I do tend to start cussing like a sailor when really mad. Poor kids..now I feel really awful!

I do the morning thing too, she either goes back to sleep (yay) play in her cot or i bring her into bed for 'cuddles' and put cbeebies on! I think the one thing is miss the most (sounds awful) about life before motherhood is waking up naturally (on no work days anyway) i miss just waking up and having a stretch and thinking ohh just another 10mins! Oh and i miss morning sex

I have to get up to C every morning at 6am so put he rin bed with us til 7 then get up and put on beebies til 9ish and im often guilty of dozing on sofa half the days of the week. She gets breakfast, juice and a dry bum and i clear the lounge away and shut gates then its about 8ish when i lie down but otherwise i let beebies entertain her for a good hour which i do feel bad for. Also for letting her watch too much telly as shes also allowed to watch it from 4-430 is onwards and not playing with her enough during the day cos im doing bits (i dont ignore her or anything i dance with her and read to her but she plays on her own quite often and i just chat to her while shes doing it) or taking her out and about enough esp now its cold unless its to do mummy things

dont think anyone has anything to be guilty about. having that extra hours lie down is probably going to make you a better parent for the rest of the day. just wait girls in a few years they will be able to get their own breakfast and turn on the tv by themselves. you might even get an uninterrupted sleep

Lol thats so true steph! Bet by then i wont be able to lie in, and ill be moaning my babies dont want me (no pleasing some ppl) Def dont think any of it makes us 'bad' parents and we cant all be perfect (like my sil) at least we are all aware of what makes us feel guilty and like lisa if we wanted we could tackle things as we know aboutthem. Lol that prob makes no sense but it is stupid o'clock so forgive me x

I do the morning thing and letting Tyler play by himself in the day too but like Imogen and Callum he moves away and likes to entertain himself. It's not that I don't try! and as for the morning if he sounds wide awake I get up with him but I refuse to get out of bed before 6.30. sometimes he sounds like he'll go back to sleep so I leave him to it. I don't think that makes me or any of us a bad parent though or even that lazy just normal human beings

I am soo lazy in the morning. I get up and make Caitlin a btl, toast and slice some fruit. I then turn cbeebies on and sometimes go back to bed for an hr, and either doze or go on internet . We live in bungalow and I shut all doors but mine and living room and I can hear her easily as only across the tiny hall. She potters in evry 5 min for a cuddle or to hit me and laugh . The bad thing is when I do get up the living room is like a bomb... covered in thrown about food, juice dribbles on floor, butter on sofa. Im probably just making more work for myself, and its sending mixed msgs to her that its ok to wreck the living room between 8-9am but not the rest of the day! My new years resolution is going to be to try and be more of an attentive mummy in he morning!

mine is not getting out and about enough with them, but its a pain in the ass with 2, and letting her play on her own alot, she doesnt seem to mind but i often feel guilty. once Alice is up she is up, there is no getting her to have any extra time in our bed so adam usually gets up with her and i get an extra half hour with Edith. but i am guilty of getting edith in our bed from about 4.30 or after her feeds just to get her back off! plus she usually wants another BF after about 2 hours so its easier to feed her that way

Lol Jo our babies are soo similar its not funny, Joseph ends up in bed most mornings after early morn feed as he wont settle or I just cant be bothered to put him back in the moses basket, yeah im that lazy as its only at bottom of bed but its just so warm in bed and like you say give it 2hrs he will be up anyway for a munch. I make him a lovely little nest in the bed, and hes off in minutes snoring away and snuggling into mummy Ive always had them in the bed though, stuff that youd never get any sleep sometimes, obv id never do it if one of us had had a drink (but thats once in a blue moon now) x

I'm a swearer and a shouter too I like my house tidy and I live with 4 if the messiest boys/man in the whole wide world... I spend my life tidying, shouting cos someones crapped and skidded and not cleared - I shout down that the skivvy is under paid over worked and totally not appreciated ... I can imagine them all sitting on the sofa rolling their eyes... Also I have cbeebies on all day, H likes his own company so I potter and so does he, the only time he shows off is if I go near the computer he kicks off grabbing my arms, screaming ( bear in mind I'm trying to get James' business up and running but have to do it on iPhone or after bed time We do have us time, but as mums of more than 2 know sleep and food is for the weak - it's washing and ironing that keeps us going I love my boys to bits really the lil boogers xxxxx
