| leo had a sore throat and temp over the weekend, then developed a bright red rash, though it looked like the scarlet fever rash, but thought nahhh probibly just a virus(oliver had a similar rash befor and turned out to be a virus) and he wasnt really unwell apart from the sore throat, he went back to school yestoday and i was told loads of kids have been off with scarlet fever. so anyway this morning he got the rash real bad on his cheeks and lips are all scabby, swollen and cut as is his toung, so took him to the gp who said mostly signs of scarlet fever but generally you wouldnt get a rash on cheeks :? ...so basically he is treating him for scarlet fever, and the results will be back in the next few days....anyhow my question is, do you know if you can get the scarlet fever rash on the your cheeks??? thanx x

| Just found this on wiki 'The rash is the most striking sign of scarlet fever. It usually begins looking like a bad sunburn with tiny bumps, and it may itch. The rash usually appears first on the neck and face, often leaving a clear unaffected area around the mouth. It spreads to the chest and back, then to the rest of the body. In body creases, especially around the underarms and elbows, the rash forms classic red streaks (on very dark skin, the streaks may appear darker than the rest of the skin). ' so according to that can be on face??? |
