My nephew who only turned 1 a couple of weeks ago got taken to A & E last night.
He is very poorly. I have been awake most of the night waiting for news. My sister text just before 4am saying they are talking about transfering him to another hospital.
They think it could be swine flu.
My sister has just rang he is in a pretty bad way, has tubes going into his tummy to feed him.
I feel so helpless being so far away.
To make things worse she also has a 6 & 4 year old who by the looks of things are not going to be with their mummy on christmas day.
It breaks my heart.
Just hope he gets better quickly so he can go home x

My sister has said that if they are keeping him in tonight (it all depends if he will take fluids himself rather than tube) then she will sleep at home and her OH will be at the hospital and tomorrow she will go back to the hospital taking the other 2 with her so I feel a little better that the other 2 will be with my sister when they wake in the morning x

Good news is they have an isolation room at the local hospital now so will not need to move them to one miles away which I am really pleased about.
The other reason he needs isolating is not just cos they suspect swine flu its also to protect my nephew from other germs as he is so weak at the moment x
