A man was knocked down outside our house a few hours ago
I had a knock at the door and I could see the fella on the pavement, shopping everywhere. Nobody saw it happen, only the driver of the transit van who was in a hell of a state. I grabbed all the throws off the chairs and sofa and took them out while someone called the ambulance and police. Poor man was shaking and disorientated, it seems as though he hit the windscreen because the glass had shattered
He wasnt drunk and neither was the driver. Me and 2 other people stayed with him and kept him talking and alert, he must've been absolutely frozen !!! Poor man had a head inury and was so confused. Just feel sorry for him and his wife and 3 kids, who's xmas has been spoiled. Im in shock as well, you just dont expect things like this to happen outside your door
Ambulane arrived and they put him in a neck brace and back board. Hope he recovers soon.
