I need some! I am so bored of my hair, can't get it dyed while I'm pregnant (strong smells make me barf) so I'm thinking of getting it cut. At the moment it's about chest length, and it's the worst white-girl afro in the world!! It's so so curly, but never goes into nice ringlets, just curls up the goes frizzy/fuzzy/ridiculous. So I always straighten it, and now it's long it takes forever to get the whole lot straight. I want something funky and cute and sexy (to distract from my non-cute/funky/sexy face haha) and easy to straighten. Fringes generally look rubbish on me unless they're at least cheekbone length. Please please throw some inspiration my way!!

How about sholder length with lots of funky layers, feathered around thr face to give it some shape and a nice side sweeping fringe! With the layers ask to have them razor in to make them more edgy

my hairs the same really really thick and it has to be straightened to look decent, although these days its usually tied back because i can't be chuffed to do it. what about a sweeping fringe and then you can get the sides graduated to frame your face, either that or a mohawk

Oooh i like the sound of those! Before I had Milo i had a bob that was a bit longer at the front than the back, just above shoulder length with a long side-fringey thing, which I really liked.. I love the sound of layers though, although my hairdresser wouldn't do them! She kept saying "When it's curly the layers will look rubbish!" and I kept trying to tell her it's never allowed to be curly but she didn't get it..

If you straighten your hair then layers won't be a problem if you want edgy layers like I said ask for the razor as you can really funky layers with them and a nice side fringe will suit your face! A nice concave cut will look lovely

Thanks Char, that sounds really funky! I'll definitely ask for razored layers then. I can't dye it so it's so mousey right now, I need some funk to distract from the mouse!! Thanks again, I feel all inspired!

thats how mine is now, I had it cut from quite long to this style...its quite layered so I can mess it up if I want ( i like messy look when I go out!) it still goes in a bunch and its easy to wash and style...also with it so short it takes hardly any time to straighten so you'd be fine!! |
