Came home for lunch from work today. My mam was quite upset and Cerys was very quiet. Anyway she told me that as she was putting Cerys's dinner in the oven she heard this almighty crash. Cerys was rattling the baby gate at the back door (back door always open) it must have been loose because the gate came free,fell out into the yard flat with Cerys still clinging on to it . She's got a lovely bump on her eyebrow. She's not concussed or anything but my poor mam felt terrible. Poor thing it could've happened anytime, nobodys fault. Will be double checking that gate every day now.PHEW poor Cerys

Aww, Poor cerys and poor nanna too. The exact same happened with Oliver and his nana the other week..but he was in and out the back door, got a bit cocky and went flying..huge graze down his face My poor mother was besides herself, she felt so bad and was so upset. I just reassured her that accidents happen, the same advice she always gave me lol

By any chance, was it one of them extendible flexi gates?

no just a normal lindam basic gate. the prob is that the wall either side of the door is not straight so sometimes the gate just goes a bit lop sided. made the OH feel guilty though because he knew it was coming loose a few days ago x

Ahh poor C and poor Nanna. Glad everyone is ok. My Mum told me she felt 10 worse when Lottie hurt herself when she was looking after than she ever did when her own kids got hurt!! LOL

weird isnt it?? my mum says the same, she was really strong and calm when i was little but she just goes to pieces about Cerys crying or being ill etc x

We have a lindam gate at the top of our stairs and Wil pushed it open this morning even though it was shut.
