So had consultant at 9 so got c up at 0715 cos she laid in for once and got her dressed. Went down and had poor lil bugger rush her brekkie she will usually linger an hour over while watching beebies to get out of house by 0805. Drove thru the traffic and got to my sisters house to drop her off at 0825 and then drove down motorway to other side of town to get to hosp for 0845.
Did my pee sample and they called me in about 0910. Once again not my consultant, another registrar. She said their computer system was down so couldnt get on my electronic notes (again). Asked how things were and i said was now signed off til mat leave cos of the bp and pulse and had cardiology end month. She asked why and i said id been referred for the rapid pulse and they had done soe tests i was waiting on results of. She asked if was on bp treatment and i said no just aspirin and had had a weeks course of antibiotics for a suspected water infection. She then said ok well you have had a growth scan by your handheld notes so we will do your bp then see you again in 4 weeks after the next one. Didnt mention her being small and as they cudnt get on my notes didnt have her measurements.
Nurse came to do my bp and said oh you need a big cuff. I said no i use a standard, no one ever uses a big on me and she said no i will use a big one. It came up 110/60. I know from doing bps at work if you use a cuff thats too big you cant get a snug fit and it lowers the reading and when you look at my notes that reading doesnt easure up with a single one done by my gp or mw.
I then had to remind them im due bloods as they werent gonna bother despite not having had em done for 3 months and meant to have em at 28 weeks as routine.
So i organised childcare and drove round town in rush hour traffic to a)meet someone who once again doesnt have y notes and is relying on my history b)have y bp read incorrectly c)remind them im due tests and d)be sent away to come back in 4 weeks again with none of the info i was meant to get.
I didnt ask about A being small as felt more reassured after speaking to mw and the next scan will give me an idea of if shes grwing or not but did ask when im having y c sec as was told was getting date today and was told i wudnt get a date til next time
. She then said oh and it wont be til after 39 weeks....hmm i have a letter to the contrary clearly stating BETWEEN 38 and 39.
Honestly! If that was all they were going to do i could ahve seen my mw who at least gives a shit. I dont know why i bother. Im going in next time with my f*cking stroppy head on as i will know by then what Awens growth rate is and if im not happy im kicking up crap and i want my sec date too so i can make sure C is cared for. As for bp and bloods....well thats just a joke to me
