| Oh god, poor you, you dont do things by half in pg do you! Really hope your diet controls it. I know its not a good thing, and i dont mean to sound thick but i'l ask it anyway... if your LO was going to be teeny due to BP probs could it be lessened slightly by this ? I know neither conditions are ideal. I dont even know why this thought came in to my head tbh! What are the risks of it apart from having large babies, thats all i really know about it. Sorry for being ignorant. x |

| Hey guys, sorry for the rant last night, was a bit irritated as seems to be a bit of one thing after another lately. But today am of the mindset its not the end of the world just a change in diet. I am gonna miss my fizz though! Gill its a fasting sugar level so they are fairly sure but the numbers were only slightly up so im confident it wont need more than cutting a few bits out. Probs as well. My dads diabetic so about time i made some changes anyway for the long term i figure. Snoops im not sure i wondered that myself, according to the last growth scan Awen is coming up a bit small so its not seemed to have affected her yet by turning her into a heffalump but shes also within the limits they are not worried about so shes diddy but not too small from bp either! So am hoping if i behave on the diet and the bp behaves neither will affect her too much and she will just be usual size. Booking in bp was 110/70, at highest it went to 160/94 but during test yesterday was 144/81 so is seeming to be managed just by being off work so fingers crossed it stays that way as swelling and visual disturbances are present but only minimal still and proteins not been higher than 1+. Im keeping positive will stay down and all will be cool til the section. Fingers crossed eh. From the little ive read the main problem seems to be large babies and can affect organ development. Apparently it also increases the risk of getting diabetes later in life from 10% to 30% and they do a fasting test every year after baby is born to check this so as i say im def taking the impetus to make some long term changes. Will apparently get lots of info weds when i get my testing meter thing though. Awens definately me last though. Ive tried all the symptoms in the book out now and decided im a bit crap at this pregnancy lark my 2 girls will be plenty for me, neils having the snip this year or im attacking him with 2 housebricks while he sleeps! |
