First topic message reminder :

sooooo the past few nights elijah has been up every hour or two (going
on about a week now actually), at first i thought well new house,
teething etc he will settle, but last night was the worst of all and i
didn't manage to get him to stay asleep in his cot until gone 6am this
morning ( Sleep )

now, i am no stranger to having a baby who doesn't like to sleep, or at
least doesn't like to sleep in his own bed, but he had his tea a bit
earlier yesterday (6pm rather than 7 or so) and because he started
crawling in the evening he probably used a lot of energy up, i didn't
get him to go to sleep til midnight (then began the trying to put him
down game)....

so i am wondering, although nearly everytime he woke up, i fed him
(desperation and worrying about him waking everyone up), he fell almost
straight back asleep without feeding much - but could he still have been
hungry for solids??? i wonder if a little bowl of plain rice + ebm
would have helped???

i know i am probably grasping at straws Laughing but we tried calpol, putting the heating on, shooooshing him, feeding him (bf),
putting him down still awake.....but all to no avail. he could have been
overtired (almost certainly by the middle of the night), but there was
something else and i can't figure it out!

thanks again ladies - we have had a good day, naps in the right places (although on me or in the pram, better than nothing!) and meals too, eli is just out of the bath AND has done a big poo today haha so surely tonight is the night!

if it carries on amanda i will go to the g.p cos i'm sure it can't be good for his little insides, and i know lactulose is great in adults Smile

natkat it's really heartening to hear milo was just like eli (although not that heartwarming because i have read several of your posts about what a terror he can be Laughing no fun at all with a bump i bet!) i am going to try and find a white noise machine, but if that doesn't work i will find a means of burning that so we can listen to it in the bedroom (we did have rainforest noises but he screams when it comes on now hmmmm association with sleep eh?)

you dont need a special machine, a radio tuned to the static is worth a shot before paying for something
