Never ever thought i'd be posting about Alfie not eating enough, but here i am!

He's totally gone off his lunch, i can normally get some fruit in him but that's about it. Whatever i make him gets chucked on the floor. I tried making something that i had to feed him myself with a spoon but he just turned his head.

Do you think it'd be better to stop with the morning bottle so he's hungry at lunch and i can get some better food down him?

He doesn't always even eat all his breakfast and he very rarely has snacks during the day either, and it's more often than not he'll leave a fair bit of his bedtime bottle too scratch

Hmm hard one Callum still has bottle before nap and bedtime, hvs came out to see him and told me to try and get him off the naptime bottle because he wont each much at lunch because the milks filling him up i tried not giving him the milk and it made no difference whatsoever he still wudnt eat a proper lunch x

You can give it ago but i see it as if he isnt eating lunch then id rather him have milk which is good for him rather then not having nothing xx

Have had similar thing with sophia recently, not eating much at dinner but was having a half to full beaker of milk at three. Have now dropped this completely and she is eating much better at dinner so i personally think its worth a shot. YOu can always try it for a few days and if its not working out then go back to having the milk. As carla says, if not eating much and no milk makes no difference then at elast you know he is getting something with the milk.

You could always replace the milk with a cheesy or yoghurty snack instead so still getting plenty of calcium? And little and often eating is good for them too.

Good luck with it whatever you decide,

MAndy x

Thanks girls
I might try miss out the bottle but make sure i give him cereal/porridge for breakfast so he's still getting milk, and if he's still not all interested in his lunch i'll go back to the morning bottle and just get used to the fact my little food monster is no more lol!

I find with Wil that timing his meals right makes a massive difference to what he eats. If he is too hungry or tired he won't eat well.

He also won't eat breakfast until he is ready. I cut up a slice of toast, put it in a little bag and he wanders around with that in a morning.

I would try dropping the morning bottle and maybe replace it with water or very dilute juice to keep his fluids up.

Also try feeding him something for lunch that he really likes and see if that makes any difference.
