Im really ill. I think its so bad its man flu Actually its either tonsilitis or a sinus infection, didnt make it to drs but got anti-b's over the phone. Lying tonight contemplating whether its swine flu but think im being a bit overdramatic Im sore all over, runny nose, swallowing razor blades, sore head/neck/face/jaw/, sweaty, coughing.... you get the idea Mum came over to give me a hand this morning and helpfully pointed out house was a bit of a shit tip, dishes lying about, washing piled up in bedrooms, no hoovering done, toys everywhere (Iv been ill since tue night, OH does bare minimum and ive been in bed in a coma... well close enough ). Had a bit of a row with OH there before he went home about state of house and how he'd lay all night watching south park instead of cleaning. He got off his arse eventually & cleared a bit & I managed to do a load of washing. He texted there to say his mum will come over tomorrow and clean for us.... Now if it was my mum id be ok, cos I could tell her to feck off, I just feel a bit uncomfortable about MIL being given free reign to pry? I can stay out of way in bedroom but we live in bungalow & can just imagine her in and out. I know she trying to be kind, and I could do with a hand, but the house isnt THAT bad.... How would you feel about MIL doing your washing/few hrs mopping/dusting etc?

I would let anyone who offered come and clean for me to be honest!! If there are jobs that you dont feel conmfortable about her doing then say oh don't worry about doing so and so but it would really help if you don't mind doing....*insert massive list here**

She is here now I told Stu at lunchtime he was copping out of cleaning, but ended up rowing again. I went for a nap & then woke up to the sound of her voice . I did most of washing this morning so hope she doesnt go near it. I got up briefly there to thank her/say that her son is a lazy shit who she needs to stop rescuing in life... but apparently she doesnt mind and will do it anytime.... whats that teaching Stuart Im laid in bed listening to every sound trying to guess what she looking at. To be fair when I looked there she had got all the stains out of cream rug which is nothing short of a miracle!

No chance would I let my MIL clean my house - I am far too proud!!!! I am ill at the mo and I could honestly curl up in a ball and die but I can't as I have two sick babies to look after and no family or friends nearby to help out. Tbh I don't actually know how I am coping but it must be some sort of mummy auto pilot (and a combination of drugs ). My mum keeps ringing and asking if she should come down and help me (she lives 120 miles away) but I am such a stubborn moo I wont admit defeat and let her. In reality I want to burst into tears down the phone and get my mummy to come look after me but I just can't - it's not who I am - stupid - I know! If my OH so much as dared even mention to his mum that my house was messy - even a teeny bit I would go absolutely bananas!!!!! I would never forgive him for giving anybody the impresion I can't cope - ill or not! and as for him asking his mum instead of doing it himself - he would be not far off dead Hope you're feeling better soon though hun - it's blummin awful being ill with kids to look after. Get a whip on Stu's arse and get him running around after you! xx
