This was still playing on my mind, so I asked my doctor at my last check up about what would happen with the whole vertical/horizontal scar thing. (My c-section scar is vertical, whereas most people I know have a horizontal one) Apparently, the scar on my tummy is vertical, but the scar on my womb is horizontal! So basically inside i'm just like all you guys Apparently they do it like that to reduce crossover of infection if the outside part gets infected, (I think, my japanese gave up on me at this point!) and because it heals better (I have no apron, I wonder if that's why..) So basically, huge relief! She also "banned" me from trying a VBAC as she thinks there is a problem with my pelvis. It's scary to think i HAVE to have another c-section, but in a way i'm relieved that the decision is taken out of my hands as I couldn't decide which was the best. Anyway, woop!

yay lol. I was intrigued by this. So does this mean that in the UK they will do the same as Japan or will they just go horizontal from the outside too? x

Yeah, I hope they use the original scar, otherwise if I have loads of kids you'll be able to play noughts and crosses on my tummy! It healed really well, I can hardly see the scar at all now, no apron, no infection, so I would love it if they could use it again. But then I imagined when they did the op it was a nice neat line, like they unzipped me and pulled Milo out..now I know I was sliced and pulled apart in one direction, then the other haha.
