It's my little mans 1st birthday on Friday!
And the money I've saved up to get him bits with and to take him out with is having to go on a *$%£ car!
I'm so gutted, I really tried to save up and because oh is being a dick and won't pay for the mot I've got no choice!

I know he won't know any difference etc etc but it makes me' feel awful I'm in tears just thinking about it!

Sometimes I want to just hide away and that's how I feel right now!

Awww thats a bit unfair of your oh. I know they dont understand much at that age but you've saved that especially for your LO. Cant he borrow the money from a family member??? Im sure he'll have a great day anyway, its the fun thats more important not the pressies, dont get down about it xx

We waited a couple days after Maky's official birthday to have the celebrations. Just delay it..until you have the funds available..and on his real Bday..just take him to the park for some ice cream and a nice day out! xxx

aww bless you, it's not your fault, I'm sure he'll have a great day anyhow..jenshayne had a good idea, you could take him somewhere nice like the park or the seafront etc on his birthday and then celebrate when you have the money..it's such a shame your oh isn't paying for the mot though

iv done this on a few occasions because of upsets in the finances. a wee day out and fussed over works great with my lot x

aww hun, i totaly understand why your upset, that is selfish of your ex i agree, on olivers birthday he was sick in the morning so we had his birthday treat yestoday instead.on his actual birthday i took him for a walk round the lake then to the park in the afternoon when he was feeling a little better and he loved it we then went for a meal with family, nowhere fancy...as for prezzies, well i hardly spent anything as the few things i did get him were like 70% off in the early learning center bet you can get some brill things in the sales xx

I will have both my boys on Friday so will take them to the park and maybe have a picnic if the weathers ok!

We can't afford to buy Ollie anything for his birthday either so have decided that we are going to get up before him, make his milk, put it in a box and wrap it up for him to open

ifu cant afford it then u cant we saved for callum xmas pressies but just had a big bill in so the money is going on that so xmas looks like its not goona be great xx
