Hi ladies

It's his birthday today so i thought i'd make a wee effort and have booked a table at a steakhouse we've never been to before. There's a fab deal on with 2 courses for £24 ish and a bottle of wine. Thought it was a bargain. Reviews look really good too. I've asked them if they would do a wee birthday cake too. Nothing like embarrassing him on purpose pmsl

After eveything that's happened the past week i thought i deserved a nice treat too. So i get a slap up meal and he's paying for it ha ha ha.

Nope its not selfish at all. I dont think you are thinking of yourself enough atm. I really hope you are doing this for you and not to keep him happy. I know you love him & its his birthday and all but Id have been happier if id read he was paying for you and a friend to have a girly meal out while he took care of mia and gave you a well earned break!

Its a nice idea because its his bday but I hope for the rest of the month he treats you and considers whether everything he does is selfish or not.

No its not, you made the effort to arrange it - money is money who evers pocket it came from (well thats how we work anyway)

It was a good night. Mia had a ball too. She charmed 2 tables and had them waving and saying hiya to her lol I ate a 3 course meal and it was gorgeous. Just a pity i'm choked with the cold and kept having to blow my nose. Could've ate the chocolate terrine twice over... yummy
