| lilly has been poorly for a few days, ended up down the hospital yesterday late afternoon as she was screaming in pain and wincing (sp) for about 4 hours whilst at my grandmas (me lilly my dad and little sister had planned to go to her for lunch as i dont see her that often shes 86 and has a social life better than anyone i know and she still drives lol!) but anyway lilly was screaming saying my ear hurts over and over i gave her medicine which didnt help, she wouldnt let me take her temp then when i finally managed to it was 39.4 so i freaked out! rand on call docs who told me to take her to hossie, anyway got there they took her temp and it was 40.6! i was shaking so scared as lilly had gone very spaced out in the car, she hadnt eaten or drank other than 4 oz milk when she got up! doc said she had bad ear infection and it was prob hurting her throat aswell so gave her amoxicillin for 5 days. well had a rubbish night with her she went to bed at 8pm woke up every hour then woke up at 2am till 5am she managed to drink some milk at 5am and went to sleep till 7.30am she had some milk when she got up and seemed to pick up during the day, had some fruit/rasins mid morn then a big bowl of mac and cheese for lunch and a yoghurt, and for tea she only ate some of her potato and a yoghurt. she then started to get very wingy after tea and was crying and crying which continued until bed time, she finally went up at 7.30pm an hour later than usual as she was kicking off at every mention of bed!! she is getting up screaming every ten mins now and i just dont know what else i can do! its breaking my heart to see her like it when i go up to her she is shaking and crying her little heart out, her temp is fine atm though, has anyone got any tips to help settle her, she doesnt want milk or even water and i know i will just end up in her bed with her and as soon as i move once she is asleep she will wake up and cling onto me as thats whats shes like when shes poorly sorry for the long story but i could cry xxxx |

| Poor you Hun. My boys have been I'll as well. H was on the same Anti- B last week. They take a couple of days to work but once they did he felt better. L got croup as well and was up at night crying as he had difficulty breathing so I gave him ibuprofen instead of paracetamol which helped but he ended up sleeping in our bed for 4 nights till he got a bit better. Hope she gets better soon Hun xxxx |

| If it were me I'd sleep with her tonight.'
1. She'll probably have a better sleep as she knows your there so she'll start to feel better. 2. You'll get some sleep too.
We have Rowan in our bed when really unwell as he won't sleep unless he's laying on me that way I het some sleep too and he sleeps better
I hopemshe is feeling better soon |

| I would put my jammys on and get in bed with her, you both need ur rest. Coping with a poorly baby is hard enough without throwing in exhaustion for you both swell. Harry had a viral infection a couple of weeks ago with high temp, Dr said to alternate ibuprofen 5mls then couple hours later 5mls paracetamol, keeping them dozed up for a few days. Hope she is better soon x |

| Awwww poor Lily, hope she is ok soon. The Anti-B's should be well and truely in her system and working within 48 hours max. Also, what I have done in the past and it does work is to alternate paracetamol and Ibuprofen every 4 hours. Hope she is ok soon xx |

| Hey hon. Sorry shes feeling so rough. C not long gone through throat infection and its a horrible time, id just say lots of snuggles in the warm and let her eat and drink as she wants. I also tried to keep a couple doses of pain relief for overnight as i found she was slightly better in the mornings and worse at night so i left the morning dose of calpol/brufen which meant i could give her something in the night if i needed too. Hope shes on the mend soon xxx |
