Holiday dilemma _
PostSubject: Holiday dilemma   Holiday dilemma EmptyTue Feb 08, 2011 10:44 pm

We've been offered a Sun holiday at the end of March Monday-Friday but Matt's been told he's got to go to a meeting in Bournemouth on the Tuesday, normally he would drive down on the Monday night and they provide a hotel, so now we're in a dilemma, the options are:

1: he comes with me on the Monday, leaves at 5.30am on the Tuesday for a 3 hour drive to his meeting and gets back around 8pm, then we have the Wednesday, thursday and come home Friday

2: he goes to Bournemouth Monday night, then drives straight back on the Tuesday night to meet us at the holiday park

3: He doesn't come and I get my mum to come with me for the week

What would you do?

I personally am swayed between 1 and 2. If you go for option 1 after getting up really early and having to do all that driving would he still be awake enough for the meeting? and possible exhausted once he gets back to you guys. Option 2 is better and he will be fresh for the meeting and not as tired when he drives to meet you guys at the holiday place.
After writing it all down I would go for option 2 xx

Thanks girls, that's what I thought, he wants to do option 1 as he doesn't want to have 2 cars there, mind you I guess I could always get the train down with her, it might be an adventure, lol

What I would do is pack everything you need into his car and take just your essentials in a holdall or weekend bag and take the train it'll be a great little adventure for her xxx

I would have said option 2, but then the two car thing will be naff when you want to come home and cant together.

So, option 1. If he is happy to do the drive, then let him x
