how can I encourage Arwyn to sit?
she only likes being in her bumbo if she's being fed and on the floor she's only interesting in rolling about.
she pulls herself up so far if she's on my lap but can't seem to get any further so I push her the rest and then have to support her.

i used to just sit on the floor with my legs open and sit ava inbetween with a book or a toy.

I just used to plonk my two down surrounded by cusions or a V pillow. She needs to practice her balance and strength but falling over is all part of that so don't be afraid to let her topple onto cusions - she will soon get the hang of it hun.

same as the other ladies really, i used that big grubby bf/pregnancy pillow and wrapped it around behind him so if he went to the side/back he was cushioned - it took quite a long time from being able to balance/sit unaided to being able to sit himself up from the floor he is only really good at that now that he has some leg control!

i also did like pinky said and sat on the floor with him between my legs so he could practice balancing

Same as the others. When Sophs was at that stage i would sit with her between my legs and if i wasnt sitting with her, just surrounded her with pillows. It did take her a while to get it though.

Pixel, i have the inflatable ring that asda do, it had alice sitting within 3 days, and E i in it already too

i also used to put alfie on thef loor surrounded by cushions. he was quite late sitting by himself thio - a good 7 1/2 months i wud say even tho he cud he was very lazy. keep at it and shell get it soo enuf x

my mum has an inflatable ring at hers but she's too big for it (Arwyn, not my mum ) i've been sitting her up on her changing mat since it's soft and she's going a good 10/15 seconds before falling which is good. I'll just keep on it!
