my son has just come in with dog and the dog has bit him on the thiumb ,, it has ripped the skin and slightly bleeding ,,,i cannot remember when he had a tetanus shot or if he has ( im sure he has but its one of thse times when mind goes blank ) ,,, we moved about a few times ,,, if i called nhs 24 would they tell me ?

I'm not sure. Its worth a try, but I think it's more the child immunisation department you will need who won't be open until tomorrow x

Hun, dogs carry a lot of nastiness in their mouths and an infection could set in. I would take him to the docs tomorrow at the very least as they may well prescribe some antibiotics. Also they should be able to say if he has had a tetanus shot in the past 10 years. Hope he's ok x x

Phone ur Docs in the morning they will be able to tell u! I don't think nhs 24 wud hold that info espec if it wasn't recently

i think you have 72 hours for tetanus if he hasnt had one so just call docs tomorrow hun.
