I just read on fb that a distant cousin of mine (dad's cousin's daughter) has become a grandma.

She is 3 years older than me!

Gosh I've just become a mummy and I'm older than her!

HOW?!!!!

I suppose if she had her daughter at 18 and then she had a daughter at 18 too...not unheard of...just sounds odd granny at 37!!

My friend turned 40 last month and is gonna be a granny this year, easy done

I remember her having her daughter because I was still at school with her sister so she must have been about 17

my auntie was a grandma at 35 she had her eldest when she was 14, then 1 at 16 who went on to have one at 18 x

i have about 2 friends that were in my year at school and they r both grannies
god makes me fell well old
have i got time 2 have any more ?

oh actually come to think of it, i made my mum a granny at 35, so my auntie must have been 34 x

a few of my friends are grans :S ,,, one a gran of 3 ,,, is a scary thought !
i keep thinking my boy is 12 this year , i truly hope i have brought him up with respect and knowledge ( thinking how i lived my life from that age ) , i am only 30 , not ready to be a gran in next few years !
i remember when i was 14 , my friend also 14 , her mum was 28 , i remember thinking how cool it was for her to have a young mum ,,,, STUFF THAT !

My mum made my nan a nan at 34 My mum had my brother at 17 and my nan had her at 17

Actually I had Ollie when I was 20 so she was a great gran at 56

Ollie's great great gran is 72

My mum became a gran at 36 when my sister had her daughter. She's now 42 and has 4 grand children and this one on the way to add to that number

I think it's easily done! My friend made her mum a gran at 32! My friend had her baby at 15 and her mum was only young when she had her! My friend now has two grandchildren.

I'm 43 and a have a 20 year old daughter, I just hope that she doesn't make me a granny anyday soon!

My dad was 38 when my step brother had my nephew, so he was a step grandad at that age .

Not many years ago a girl was married off at the age of 12-14 and would be pregnant within the year.

Well if you go by age of consent you could be nanny at 32, and plus my dad say grandkids are the best

i made my mum a granny at 34. she now has 9 grandkids, 5 of which im responsible for and my sister is trying for another!

I don't find it shocking in the least living in Dundee, you see birthday ads in the paper saying "Happy 30th Granny". They start breeding at about 12 round here
