hmmmmmmm it doesn't get any easier sorry! Izzy at nearly 2 is either an angel and lays down for me to do it...or is the devil and will do everything in her power to resist the nappy going on!

I had the Cosatto changing unit til last week and although she never got off it she would try to turn over and kick and squirm!

I do her on the floor now as its the only way I can get on top of her and pin her down if she gets mardy! I am at the business end, put my arm across her chest to stop her getting up/rolling over/running away and then have to clean her butt with one hand...usually I have the TV on to distract her and once I have cleaned her butt I might be lucky enough to have both hands to put the nappy on with!

argh we are in the same boat just now, each nappy change is an absolute battle of wills (and strength, trying to pin elijah down while he screams or disappears at the slightest opportunity). we did try doing it on the floor as off the ground was getting too dangerous but it just made it easier for him to escape!

just now we are doing quite well with this (risky) approach: i put some favourite toys on the couch and stand elijah up facing it, he is so pleased to be a)stood up and b)playing with something (sometimes the remote or my phone if he is particularly frisky Laughing) that he will stand just long enough for me to change him - if i need to check he is clean/put cream on/sort the nappy out i still have to pin him to the floor but i'm getting very quick!

we have also had to abandon cotton wool and use wipes for now much to my dissatisfaction! i don't like them but they are quicker than spraying with water and wiping Very Happy

Brute force or learn to put a nappy on while they are running around Laughing

I quite often do Wil on the move. Smelly ones involve lying down and pinning him down if necessary. He is pretty good most of the time but every now and then Twisted Evil

How about sticking a nice colourful picture/poster to the ceiling temporarily? Might just help having something new to look at?

yip were havign the same problems with alfie. weve got a changing table too and i still like to do it on there but hes always either turning over, air humping or hitting me as i try and change him so its a right nightmare. ive tried doing it on the floor too but tbh i think its more awkward as he knows he can get away!!! x

I have always just used a changing mat on the floor.

When I was pregnant I had problems with Aimee, so I just had to lay her down and pin her down with my legs while changing her.
