bridget jones 3 is on its way.

which is great but what i'm not entirely happy with is the fact that renee is not going to put the weight on, which i understand, but bridget is about a REAL woman and being stick thin is not real to me.

i do wonder what the storyline is, but have to say that thanks to this movie, my big knickers were sexy again lol

well... i think she should eat mcdonalds once a week, watch tv for atleast 5 hours a day, whils sitting on the sofa scoffing malteasers, do hardly any excersize... apart from running about after a kid or a dog or something and going to work, and live off hardly any money... then she should film the movie however she looks at the end of it. cause thats my idea of normal lol!

besides its no good to have to put weight on and diet and put weight on..so I think she is sensible not to do it for a movie.

She is normal even when she's thin, we all come in different shapes and sizes. I agree with Lisa if she's naturally thin, then it isn't healthy to put on lots of weight and then lose it after, I wouldn't do it purely because of the stretchmarks!

I meant normal as in.. Dont crash diet after putting weight on for a film

the character bridget was always overweight so they'll have to change the storyline, i dont see why it wouldnt work if she was thin though.

i actually didnt have a go at being thin, i meant for the character of bridget being "normal" for her is to not be stick thin, its whole part of the storyline and apart of why the films work. hence the big pants scene

i agree that renee shouldnt put weight on and off like a yoyo and dont undertand actors taht do that for their craft, because one day it will catch up on them. but thats their choice. i've always thought that the character should have been played by someone naturally bridgets size, but i still love the storyline and the movies

I think that she should be played by someone naturally the shape of the character from the book. I don't agree that anyone should have to put on or loose weight away from what they personally want.

I dont think clare was saying its not normal to be thin, as there are a lot of naturally thin women out there, like yourself Lisa, but Renee has battled eating disorders and is not naturally thin shes dieted to get there and made herself ill and she doesnt look well in my opinion. I dont think it was a good idea for her to put weight on for the role in the first place as its easy to put on but a hell of a lot harder to lose it all again!
