i'm trying to figure out which classes to enrol in...but there are various different kinds - i am looking for ones that sort of flow, and don't have massive breath/meditation focus....um yes, so does anyone know about yoga? haha

Whats the one called where they turn up the heat and make you sweat your ass off?

at the place we went before they just called it 'hot yoga' i think they said they turned the heating to 32C and sweat it out

Hmm.. Hatha Yoga is pretty gentle, might depend on the place/teacher how much they focus on meditation, the class I went to only did a 2 min wind down/meditation session at the end, that was it. And it flowed pretty well and wasn't too challenging. The breathing is kind of tied into the movement, so don't know if you'll be able to escape that. For eg you have to breathe in if stretching up, breathe out when relaxing down etc, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

Power yoga totally kicked my arse! I'd been doing yoga for years and I was collapsed in a sobbing heap by the end of the session!

Never tried hot yoga as the sweating would make my hair frizzy, and the stress of that would outweigh any benefits of yoga

hahahaha the un-therapeutic stress of frizzy hair yeah power yoga would be way beyond my capabilities, i just need to stop being such a giant fatty and do something i quite enjoy haha i'm going to email the woman about dru yoga cos i can't find that much about it

I did ashtanga yoga. Was great. I had a waist after bout 4 weeks and you definitely feel fitter. I did it at home with a dvd x

^ thing is i am going to make myself go to a class - if i'm at home i won't get a minute to do it (and the only big enough space is the living room) and then i will run out of enthusiasm...i need to put myself into a situation where i will be bullied
