| Oh, yeh I totally see where you are coming from Laura! Yes I too don't always appreciate what we have materialistically, we have worked hard for our holidays and 'stuff' so we totally deserve them ;-)
Aye so long as you appreciate the real life things in life then the other stuff doesnt matter!

| Hi Ladies, Lisa Lisa Lisa, what did you do !!! May I just add it disgusts me when "single mother" do the - Ive had her/him all week I need a break... I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mum to 3 boys - 10 5 & 1 yrs. My oh works 14 hour days most days as those I bore on fb know he is currently travelling back from his 1st week away and goes to america and Bahrain for 3 weeks in the morning.. I in that time am alone here with my 3 kids, my mum lives about 30 min drive away I dont drive ! She came by tonight to watch the baby whilst my dad took the older 2 out so I could iron and pack as James will arrive home tonight at 11pm and leave at 5am (im packing for him) I do the school run, I shop I bath and bed them I may as well be classed as a single mum and I wouldn't dream of asking anyone to take my kids so I could have a break.. I didnt have kids so other ppl could care for them - These are sacrifices we make when we decide on babies.....as for the money well dont even start me on that The last night out I had was around 2 yrs ago and my oh watched the boys! |

| I appreciate what I have but equally I work my arse off to get it and studied until I was 25 to achieve what I have. The only state handout we get is CB and it looks like that will be stopping before long. It goes straight into Wil's account anyway because as far as I am concerned it is his and since we don't need it to bring him up he can use it towards something worthwhile when he needs it in the future. |

| I agree with not using benefit money to get tanked up and shake what your momma gave ya! We see it here all too often, and from what I understand about the amounts handed out..it's not that much to begin with..so I am left scratching my head as a parent and knowing what it costs to raise kids..even with the basics..how in the world can someone afford to go out pretty much 7 days a week? I think it's important to get out on occasion, just for a breather...but once you bring kids into the world..that is priority numero uno! xxx |

| Alfie sleeps out at my mams or his dads every saturday night. Me and gav dont neccessarily go out all of the time - sometimes we will stay in - get a takeaway have a bottle of wine and watch a film. Most of the time we go over a friends for a drink but tend to be in bed no later than midnight and always pick alfie up at 10 at the latest the next morning. Last sunday was the first time ive been out out since last July.
I do think its important to make time for each other. Im very very fortunate that we have so many people who want to look after alfie (thankfully he is a really good baby and will go to sleep no bother and sleeps all the way through). But me and gav do work hard for our money (or i do when im not on m/l) and i think we deserve a treat.
