Well, it didnt go that great really.

He said that he has put it off for long enough and now thinks that she needs another procedure doing. Oxford no longer operate on childrens hearts so she is having to go to Southampton instead.

Her cardiologist announced he is moving to America next month for a year . He is coming back for the last week of June and will do her procedure down in Southampton that week, so we are just waiting for the appointment now.

The procedure is likely to be a stent (a wire mesh tube) in her artery but he will decide when he has injected the dye into her heart and gets a better idea of what is going on.

Poor Debs too... we have had to sell our Take That concert tickets as it clashes the same week (soweeeee Debs) xx

aww hun, i'm sorry your little princess has to go through more surgery.
Do they think this will be it for a few years or is she likley to need more?

Im sorry it finally has to happen.........I was praying for a small miracle that maybe her heart would just 'grow out of it', i know im probably being silly

But saying all that......she has come through far worse, and look at her already, im hoping that this op will be all she needs to be a healthy little princess forever

Hopefully this will be the last one though, is it something that deterioarates (sp) and need replacing.. or could this be it?

Southampton is probably one of the best hospitals in the country so she's in good hands

Laura if you say sorry to me one more time I'm gonna come down there, borrow rot's fish and give you good slapping

I'm always here for you - you know that - stuff Take That! lets just worry about getting Aimee through this then we can organise something else.

Oh no, sorry it's not better news. But I'm glad that her cardiologist is coming to carry out her operation, I'm sure you'll feel a tiny bit less anxious knowing that it's him doing it. xxxx

Thanks everyone. She is fine, apart from being a stroppy little madam since we got back.

She was really distressed this morning at the scan and kept saying 'all done mum, all done' and was crying her eyes out, I felt so bad pinning her down on the table, but its for her own good.

This is just a minor op before they have to do the biggy and replace the whole section of arotic arch. We have no idea when the biggy will be though - its so rare what her problem is, that when we ask them, they just kind of shrug and dont know .

but shes been through worse, shes a strong little mite!! plus if it will help her later on in life, glad her normal dr said he'd do it, thats reassuring for you.
