my little sister. she has moved over to grand canaria for 5 months and although we dont get along at the best of times i think im actually gonna miss her...considering most of the family (aunties,uncles, grandparent) live in the same town and always have done, we are quite a close family...i know iv ranted about her a few times with her attitude problem
im hoping this break will sort her out a bit, but i have a feeling she wont be coming back once she gets a taste of the life over there...i know its already killing my mum
i got really upset for her yestoday, made me realise she is so unprepared...she got to the airport, she only took £100, then had way too much luggage and had to pay £70extra leaving her with £30 plus then all her suncream and toiletries got confiscated as she'd put them in her hand luggage

luckily she has a place to saty, but want prepared with a job or anything...so moving to a forgien country with little more than £30

my mum has spoke to her today and she has found a job shes' going to apply for..only 5 euro an hour...i just hope she will be ok out there x

OMG she really doesn't sound like she knows what she is doing - how old is she?!

My friend and her boyfriend sold their house and cars and moved to Spain to work and live....they couldn't find decent jobs and regretted it big time and they had plenty of money with them!

I hope it works out for her!

she is 18, but not the most mature of 18 year olds...tbh i think its going to be hardcore partying and drinking, it will either make her or break her i think x

I think she will have a great time.

James's sister did this every summer for 4 years. She would just up and leave every April and come home in September. She used to work in Magaluf and loved it.

She spent most of her time working in bars selling shots and eating pot noodles , but she loved it.


Besides, if it doesnt work out, she can come home xx

iv no idea, i mean i know my mum would if it came to it...she really should have been more organised, she didnt even have a job here befor she went, the last one she had lasted all of half a day really hope this break sorts her out and makes her grow up a bit

Ooh I forgot... My SIL also met her OH out there the last time she was there and they have just purchased a house together, so she has settled down loads x

I went on holiday for 2 weeks to Ayia Napa when i was 18 and got back last year (im 25 this year!) She will prob love it for a few weeks/months but u soon start missing food and living off super noodles and being drunk 24/7 does soon get boring!

well, she is coming home on saturday...my mum is forking out for the flight
she didnt find a job, aparentley there was nothing, her friend who she went to stay with then decided he missed his mum so they have decided to come home
well that lasted all of errrm 25 days lol x

she'l have a fab time!!! ok I was different I had a job to go to as was repping but I was 19... I know so different circumstances... BUT I LOVED living abroad! I did it for 9months!! best thing I EVER DID!!

If it wernt for meeting rob and kids I so would go back! she'l be fine hun, she'l meet loads of people. I know a few who finshed or sacked haha (I Came close) out there and found work so didnt have to go home. Theres always some one somewhere looking for bar staff or promos.

She'l love it!! it made me, if I never went out I dont think I would ever get the cofidence I have now. aww reminising (sp) now.... oo if wernt for kids Id go back out. has crossed my mind wether we should now go as have no ties yet with schools. but know OH wouldnt grrr

she'l be ok hun, just think you can get to her if need be, can pick up cheapish flight if needed. xxxx

yeah thats what i said she should have stuck it out a little longer. mind her freind didnt want to stay out there anymore so she would be alone, i can fully understand it...just hope she gets a bloody job when she gets back x
