Wil never had one so I have no idea. I am just waiting to see if they will call him for a 2 year check

Thomas had one but Hannah hasn't been called for yet (we moved so it's a differerent PCT so maybe they don't all do them?).

I can't really remember much about Thomas's, she measured and weighed him, checked his joints and movements etc. Watched him crawl around a bit, asked a few questions about milestones, got his to hold two little bricks and see if he could bang them together. Talked to him a bit, I think she was checking to see if he was hearing her and looking at her whilst she spoke etc. She gave him a toothbrush and toothpaste and a book bag with books and flash cards etc in.

Ours wasn't so much a 8mth check but a 12mth, but was the same as Debs'

As for 2yr check we didn't have one of them either, just a visit from sure start who had us right down the words he could say etc (language development) but you only get that if you sign up to surestart. x

we dont have them anymore up here (grrrr) but i know it used to be banging things together, putting them on their tummy, seeing them sitting up and checking their eyes/hearing like they did at the (errm 3 month?) check
